There are different student facilities for the students like amphi theatres and auditoriums, canteen, housing facility or hostel, Healthcare and other, on campus counselor, anti ragging cell, other short course etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it doesn't create any dress to the students and all the topics are interesting and related to the fashion, stitching and the designing of the garment.

Placement Experience

The employers who comes to the campus for recruiting the students are Arvind, tcns clothing company, Pantaloons, Raymonds, Globus, AND, Shoppers Stop, Gini and jony, Myntra, Max, lifestyle, buttercup etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is really very expensive of this college and is divided in eight parts or eight installments which has to be paid at the starting of every semester. The total fees for this course is rupees 11.9 lakh.

Campus Life

There are different labs and workshops on which the students does the work and organises different activities. The labs are computer labs photography Labs pattern making and breaking labs weaving Labs Dyeing and printing Labs Technology labs knitwear lab and many more other Labs.

Admission

For this 4 year course in fashion designing the student has to appear for the entrance examination. It is a full time course and the candidate must have cleared 10 + 2 examination from any recognised board.

Remarks:

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.

Student Experience at NIFT

I had applied to different courses, like law or architecture. But I didn't pursue the above said courses as NIFT gave me a better opportunity to dive into different streams and more interesting perspectives. There was no rejection from any college. There is an entrance exam for B.Des- which consists of 2 written tests - creative aptitude test and genetal aptitude test, followed by a situation test and then admission counselling.
