Course Curriculum Overview
As the name of the subject suggests, we majorly focus on sub-divisions of mathematics like statistics, algebra, equation, mechanics and probability (I was just giving a heads up, if you want detailed information about the subjects, visit the official site) There is no entrance exam, the exam is based on the merit of the candidate.
Placement Experience
I'll be completely honest, the college does not provide any internship opportunity to its students. If you want to apply for an off-campus internship, go ahead but waiting for the college to do so would be a literal waste of time The placement cell of the college has a huge competition if talking about my department. The number of companies visiting is very few and the number of students is very much.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible as the college is situated in the rural area of Assam and plans to educate its native. The annual fees for B.Sc in Mathematics is approximately 5,100 INR and as the course is for 3 years, the total fee is 15,300 INR.
Campus Life
The labs are very modern and extra clean with all the necessary equipment present. The college has a Bio-tech hub where I always find student working seriously on their research projects, the computer lab also entertains and helps majority of students in completing their projects.
Admission
Having an immense interest in solving mathematics questions and puzzles gave me a path to take the course further and study the numbers in detail. I filled an offline application and got a call from the college after a couple of weeks regarding my admission and was asked to visit the college with the required documents. The selection is based on the marks scored in 10+2, there is no entrance examination.
Faculty
Different departments have different faculty who possess expertise in their respective area. The professors hold the master's degree, some of them are even P.hD and M.Phil, which gives them a strong command over the subject they have chosen to teach.
