Course Curriculum Overview

My course mainly focuses on management, I have keen interest in international management as I want to opt for it in my master's as well. There is entrance exam for this course, the admission is based on the merit list.

Placement Experience

The job placement of this college is quite decent. Companies visit the college for recruitment with the salary offer of 3-5 Lakh p.a. I'll be completely honest, the college does not provide any internship opportunity to its students. If you want to apply for an internship, opt for an off-campus placement, visit the official sites of different companies and apply online.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite affordable even for the rural people, as the college is located in the rural area, the fee structure is designed keeping the necessities of the rural people in mind. The annual fee for B.BA is approximately 20,000 INR.

Campus Life

The labs are touched with chicness and extra clean with all the necessary equipment for our comfort. The college has a Biotech hub, a computer lab and different labs for physics, chemistry and biology which helps the students in doing their research.

Admission

I applied approximately 5 years back, there was no online application policy back then so I had to visit the college and fill an offline application form. After waiting a couple of weeks I got a call from the college regarding my admission and was asked to visit the college for further process.

The faculty of my department is well trained, all the professors and lecturers hold at least Master's degree while some of them even have P.hD degree which makes them the perfect source to impart knowledge to us.

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

Life in GIPS

Placement Experience:

In the 8th semister, students will eligible for campus placement. Our college will organize campus placement. Where different companies come and if you pass the interview then you will get the job. Companys like sun pharma, Ajanta pharma will come. And they have different requirements. In starting you will get 2.5 lakhs of the package and other offers are there. In GIPS most of the students get the placement. My plan after b pharm is I will study for M pharm in GIPS.

About my college

Remarks:

I didn't have any negative remarks until last year. So there was a mistake on my form fill up. I put the right details and selected my subjects. I have selected English as my MIL and submitted my form. But when I get the admit card I got to know that my MIL subject was selected as Assamese which I never selected. Then in the examination I gave the ex for English and didn't gave for Assamese as my subjects wasn't Assamese. I told the teacher who signed my examination copy he told that it will be fixed but on the results day I got to know that it was marked as absent in the MIL exam because I didn't sit for the Assamese examination which I did because I was English student. Then I asked them they said to get my sessional exam marks from the HOD of English department. I went to the HOD and she said that the copy in which they put the records is with the commerce head so I went to him. He said he didn't have the copy and told me to get to the HOD I went back to HOD she said she didn't have the copy. Both of them didn't have the copy for which I didn't able to fix the problem. It's not cool.

Apart from this college, I had also applied to Cotton College, Dibrugarh University but was not selected due to high cut off. My cutoff in Cotton was 91 percent and the cutoff for General category was 92 percent. If I did not get any result anywhere then I took admission in this college only.Admission in our college is done on 2 basis, one on the basis of class 12 marks and the other on the basis of cuet exam.And those taking admission on both the basis have to do online registration through Samarth website, after which admission is done in the college as per the merit list.Those who do not get it, they should get spot admission in the last minute if the seat remains vacant.The cutoff for science stream is more than 60%, the cutoff for general caste students in botany and zoology departments is more than 75%.Rest of the arts students get admission even with 50% marks....Read More
