Entrance Preview

You do not need to give an entrance test to get through Government Law college. Your marks of 12th grade decide if you can make it to this 5 year law course or not.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course is a comprehensive one which goes on for 10 semesters covering a plethora of laws. First two years we study generic subjects that would help in law like logical deduction, sociology, political science etc which won't directly help you with law when you practice but indirectly help. From third hear onwards the law related subjects begin to come on like the contract act etc which form the basis of Indian Legal system and its disputes.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell is very good and the placements that happen through this college are nice if you are a scorer and a participant in moot courts etc.

Placement Experience

2

Placement and job opportunities are excellent with alot of scope for multiple internships from 3rd year onwards itself in diverse fields of Law.

College Events

2

The Jessup International moot court is a must do. Spill organization is involved in international law and they have their annual conferences as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very cheap and affordable with cheaper fees for students who have scored well. It is aa government college so the fees isn't too high and there are separate exam fees that they charge during each exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

Don't know, but you don't really need a loan to get through this college as fee is very low. There is a special fee reduction for scholar students and students who need reservations.

Campus Life

1

The extra curricular activities are many and there is alot of sports drama music and other non law related activities as well. There are moot court clubs which allow you to participate in several different moots and there are writing competitions as well.

Hostel Facilities

1

4/10 there are hostels around like ish etc where the food is quite nice but overall the canteen wasn't that great when I was there and it was on only for limited hours. It is cheap and affordable but variety is less but due to convenient location there is alot of food you get around.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a special alumni club dedicated to this and it functioned well. However we have also come across alumni coming to class and telling us how to write exams etc and have received guidance from them.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is divided in 10 semester and every year there are two semesters of exams taking place within 5 months interval.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty was okay with some lectures being worth attending. Overall it was more of self learning. From third year onwards the faculty gets better however due to low attendance the classes are too small.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.
