What Students Say
Likes
- Freedom, At glc you are pretty much free to do anything, internships, courses, CA&CS or competitions etc.
- Crowd, The crowd at glc can be mixed but i have found my people and that is very helpful
- Location, GLC is very close to the highcourt and also in the commercial heart of the city.
Dislikes
- Professors, A lot of them are incompetent and do not care about students.
- Campus, There's only one building with no ACs.
- Student Committees, Student committees are very active and conducts a number of competitions
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is extremely outdated. While NLU students are learning about law in thier first year itself, we have to wait till 3rd year for the same thing. A lot of students end up learning more at internships rather than at college
Fees and Financial Aid
GLC receives government funding and thus is very cheap with nominal fees. I pay 2000 yearly since i belong to obc category. Students from Gen Category have to pay 7000. There's an additional exam fee of 1200. Other than these there are no other fees
Campus Life
Student committees are amazing at GLC, with competitions, events and seminars occurring all year round. These committees are also good way of meeting new people and interacting. They also encourage personality development
Admission
I only appeared for MHCET Law and no other law entrance exams. This was because i wasnt sure about law and wasted my time around clat. MHCET is a fairly simple exam and with proper prep shouldn't be hard to crack
Faculty
Most of the professors are visiting faculties. This creates a huge burden on the permanent faculty and creates problems for students too. A lot of these people are incompetent and lack the ability to tap into students minds.
Night Life
The college is at churchgate, which is great for nightlife, though due to lack of hostel facilities, none really hangs out near the college. Regardless, its a really nice and safe area with marine drive nearby
