Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this because of BA in that, i have done my 10+2 in commerce. I always had an interest in studying arts. That driven me to study and i liked our subjects in first year. There is history and political science which is so interesting. Though the semester exams are conducted by Mumbai University and they do sometimes delay, or the standard of difficulty of exam depends upon them.
Internships Opportunities
The placement committee of Government law College is probably the most hardworking committee which looks after the students precisely. The placement committee provides various Internship opportunities to the students. The internship are provided via the website of placement committee.
Placement Experience
I don't know the real data but there are students who are placed via Placement committee of GLC. Students are placed in good firms. Also, the employability is quite high as compared to other Law colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is very affordable for the students who cannot go to National law Universities and there are scholarship provided for reservated category. Mainly, there is aided and unaided section in Government law College.
Campus Life
Seniors have told me, that there is no campus life in Government law College. It's upto the student how they create their own college life. The cultural committee of GLC has a fest called ZANKAAR, it mainly happens between the second term of the year. And it is so much fun. The Library of Government law College is so prestigious. They have variety of books which you won't find in outside world. The Library is huge and pretty well built. Our college also has a sports committee and there are competitions happening around. There are various students run committees.
Admission
After giving MHCET, the only best college comes to your mind is GOVERNMENT LAW COLLEGE. Though it's cut off is quite high, but it's worth it. The best thing about college is it is located in MUMBAI. Also the proximity of Bombay High court from Government law College is few meters distance. Then you also get to intern under the advocates practicing in Bombay High court. The placement opportunities are also good. It's the best while giving MHCET.
Faculty
I think, there is no permanent faculty in Government law College and it creates the gap of trust. Like there are few subjects teacher that are permanent, otherwise only visiting faculty is there. The teachers are excellent in terms of teaching, and you will realise that only after attending lectures.
Night Life
As such Mumbai it self has an fun nightlife. It's upto you how you like to look at that. There are lots of places where people can hangout in Mumbai. My favourite being Marine drive. It is also safe to travel at night in Mumbai.
