- A wide array of committees that organise events,competitions,seminars etc from time to time and help immensely to the character and skill development of students of Government law college

- The food at the canteen is not the best, although very affordable, it often seems too oily or not appetizing enough
- Lack of a proper campus, only the building of the college stands with its unmatched legacy but there is nothing in the name of a ground or campus. The college terrace is occasionally used as a ground got sport events organised by the cultural committ
- Students may face difficulties interacting with the college administration especially the college staff as they are not very co-operative sometimes. There are no proper and prompt notifications about results
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is set by law department of Mumbai University. This decision has positive and negative aspects as every law college under Mumbai University has a uniform syllabus,same date of examination and same paper, this helps in collaborating to study together with other law college students as well lectures on YouTube are easily available for revision. However syllabus set by Mumbai University is often outdated and lacks new topics in legal field.

The cultural committee of Government law college hosts a talent show for freshers every year as well as they host the grandest event of the college called as Zankaar which is a 8 day long event with attendees from colleges in and around Mumbai. Admission
Admission to Government law college is only through the Centralised Admission process (CAP) after appearing for the MHT-CET exam conducted every year around the months of april-may. The exam is comparatively easy and after the result,the students can enroll for the CAP process which consists of 3 main rounds and 1 extra round. Once the college is alloted, students have to carry a specified list of documents and visit Government law college to submit the mentioned documents. The college staff as well as volunteers help in the admission process and you can contact the volunteers regarding documents needed for reserved students.
Faculty
There are a few permanent faculty members with vast knowledge in their field and effective teaching methods however Government law college primarily depends on visiting faculty members who in their own rights are experts in their given subjects however lack of permanent faculty often creates problems as students cannot reach out to the visiting faculty members once their agreements end after the pre determined tenure. Dependence on visiting faculty often hampers the co-operation between faculty of same subjects.
