Likes

Alumni network and good placement as the placement committee is very active
Great Legacy of being first law college in Asia
Location near High Court of Bombay , easy access to law firms

Dislikes

College bureaucracy is a hassle and office work takes time
exams are delayed often and internal exams are also delayed
infrastructure is lacking and college is constricted in size

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is compehensive and teaches us constitutional law , environment law , family law , corporate law and prepares us for internships in real life and practicing law after our graduation. Exams are moderate in difficulty.

Class Size: 300Course Fees: INR 7000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Intenrships are available with medium and big law firms like SAM , CAM , Trilegal , Econnomic Law Practice , Enact Legal. Other internships with MAHA RERA , various ministries , departments etc are also avaiable.

Placement Experience

Great placement is you are getting into coporate law as all the major firms are near by. AVERAGE salary is 800000 and could go up to 1400000 . If you plan on litigation as career placements are still good.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is inadequate as college being situatewd inn south mumbai. Clubs are very active and provides an all round development of students. Various seminars and activitiess are organized by students.

Admission

GLC mumbai has a rich legacy of stalwarts like justices of High courts and Supreme court being its alumnis. Other colleges fall short of providing placement support. However the college administration is lax.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio - 1:60 and very approachable Best faculties - Kishu Daswani , Prof.Pithawala Substanderd faculties - all of the permanent faculties Exams are twice a year and internals are conducted twice a year as per your course

Night Life

Night life is great if you are into oceans , long heritage walks seeing the old vintage buildings , eat icecream sandwich , learn the glorious history of maharashtra , go on a long drive on marine drive .

GLC Mumbai is the greatest law college!!

Placement Experience:

Trilegal, JSA, AZB, Tatva Legal and various other law firms from Mumbai itself offers us jobs worth 10 to 20 lakhs. In a cours where only a few colleges have placements ours is one of those. It has tie-ups with many lawyers and firms whichbare into litigation or arbitration.

GLC - insider.

After giving MHCET, the only best college comes to your mind is GOVERNMENT LAW COLLEGE. Though it's cut off is quite high, but it's worth it. The best thing about college is it is located in MUMBAI. Also the proximity of Bombay High court from Government law College is few meters distance. Then you also get to intern under the advocates practicing in Bombay High court. An honest guide to life at Government Law College, Mumbai

Admission to Government law college is only through the Centralised Admission process (CAP) after appearing for the MHT-CET exam conducted every year around the months of april-may. The exam is comparatively easy and after the result,the students can enroll for the CAP process which consists of 3 main rounds and 1 extra round. Once the college is alloted, students have to carry a specified list of documents and visit Government law college to submit the mentioned documents.
