Course Curriculum Overview

2

There could be better attention to detail by the Uniby of Mumbai and the College based on the professional conduct and ethics . There should be a course which should be compulsory to every student for understanding the basics of a litigation and corporate firms/advocacy.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, is run by the Government of Maharashtra. Fee Structure per year for general category is between Rs. 6000 to 7000. For sc/st /obc is between Rs.400-500 per year. Sc,st,obc, pwd reservations are provided. However, all the other seats are merit based on the list of MHCET LAW EXAM. It becomes extremely affordable considering the placements that are provided after the completion of LL.B. There are both 3year degree and 5year degree courses available at Government Law College Mumbai.

Campus Life

5

It has all been great for the past years. Good placements are alotted along with good competitions that we could be a part of . Increasing our exposure to the real world legal services. The infrastructure could be given a 6 out of 10' . There's a library, canteen and committee seperate rooms provided by the college.

Admission

This is the only law college I applied to since it was closer, cheaper and had the goodwill and the best alumnis . The former principal being Dr. BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR the college has continued his legacy with exceptional moot court competition, MUNs , Negotiation, Meditation Competition, etc.

Faculty

2

The faculty is divided into two permanent and visiting faculty. The permanent faculty is extremely caring, understanding and generous. The visiting faculty's personalities are very subjective. There are two sems per year that means 10 sems over a period of 5 years. The subjects are between 3 to 5 in each semester which are changed .

Reviewed on Apr 8, 2025(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum specially the first two years focuses more on subjects like history, political science etc and prepares are foundation for law. The curriculum is well inclusive of the practical aspects of law as well as the theory which prepares you well for the real world applications. The course can be improved via adding the amended laws like add in GST to the taxation laws. The internal as well as semester exams are conducted once every semester. The difficulty level is easy to moderate for both. We get a study leave of around 20-25 days before every semester exam to prepares ourselves well.
