Course Curriculum Overview

The course would be well designed and they would be in an international way. The course is in a way that they would match the international standard of marketing and the trend. The system would be in such a way that emerging technologies would be given much importance.

Placement Experience

The placements in the college are pretty decent and they would have a good package of income. The students are given importance in their internships and their projects are supported by the council. There are even project recognition where our product would be given importance with the due price.

College Events

The regional festival namely the Pongal and then Diwali would be celebrated in such a way that would be the important festival of the college. Then there would be an annual college fest and the sports day where all the cultural activities are done. Then there would be technical events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure would be reasonable and the fee would be paid at the beginning of the academic year. The fee would cost about one to three lakhs for the whole course with the availability of the scholarship. The fee should be paid through the online and demand draft.

Campus Life

Sports are given its utmost importance where the students are encouraged in sports. Tournaments are also held at the college both state and the national level tournaments. There are many extracurricular activities in the college which would help the students.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni cell is maintained by the college and they would have a record of the alumni achievements. They would be called for an honorable meeting and they would be also given an interactive session where they would help the students in their career. The whole alumni group would work for the welfare of the institution.

Admission

The undergraduate who has one year of experience in work would be the base selection criteria. Through the gate score, the students would be shortlisted and they would be called for a written exam along with the personal interview. Therefore they would admit to the college. The documents would be verified at the college during the admission of the college.

Faculty

The faculty in the college would work for the welfare of the company, therefore the students would get much importance from the college faculty. They would be a mentor for each student where you would just help in their academic and their career performance.

Good College with Decent Fees

Likes

Air Conditioned Classrooms and good wifi
There are many technical and social clubs like IEEE and IETE
Fests and Campus life are good. Many companies visit the campus for placements

Dislikes

75% attendence is mandatory to be eligible for final exams
Strict Dress Code and hostel restrictions are there in the campus
Only 2 food courts are there in the whole campus and very crowdy

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is industry oriented.I choose this course as I liked working with Hardware. The curriculum prepares for real world applications and Hands-On Project The frequency and exams are easy to moderate level.

Likes

The campus is over 100 years old and has strong alumini network.
Placements are good as per my rank in JEE
Peer group is good and there are diversed people all around

Dislikes

Infrastructure is really old; but then again legacy comes at a cost.
Campus is smaller as compared to NITs and IITs ; so is the funding
Its still not an institute of national importance. Has no nation wide recognition

Placement Experience:

Since the first batch of VLSI is yet to be placed I would take example of ECE for reference. Out of 110 students which sat for placements , 91 got placed , median of 13 lakh with avergae of 16 lakh and 61 lakh highest on campus. These are of 24-25 and this year placements are better as even apple visited us after an hiatus of 3 years. In core electronics , Samsung Rnd , TATA electronics , Cadence , Micron etc visited for tech , UKG , PhonePay , Oracle , Accenture etc vist in consulting and finance , Mckinsey , JP Morgan , GoldmanSachs , AmericanExpress visit. After my btech I plan to do a job.

Likes

Syllabus is good, it is very versatile and updated according to the industry standards
The University also has a good events and also a good night life
The infrastructure is very modern with unique outlets to eat in

Dislikes

There is a uniform system which is very bad according to university
Very strict rules regarding in and out of the University
The outlets in university are quite expensive

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course plan around 7 out of 10 in terms of relevance and depth. I chose this course mainly because it includes core tech subj like DSA, DBMS, OS, AI and cloud, which are useful for jobs in tech field. The presence of lab work and proj based learning also influenced my choice. The curriculum gives a fair base in theory and basic prac skills. It helps in campus place prep and also builds base for higher study like MTech or MS. But real world skill still depends a lot on self study, online course and side proj. Some topics feel updated, but a few subj are still too theory heavy and not linked to real case use. Exams are held twice as mid test and once as end term in each sem. There are also quiz, viva and lab eval. The level is moderate. If you attend class and revise notes, it is manageable. For improve, more live proj, hack event, ind visit and case study should be added. Teach method should shift more to code demo and less slide read

Likes

Good facilities, really teaches student and give individual attention in class too
Good infrastructure , as it was just built in 2021, the infrastructure is top notch and no complaints about it.
Papers are being checked anonymously, one’s paper can be checked by any teacher in any campus, so no chance of partiality

Dislikes

80% strict attendance criteria other they would not allow to sit in exam
Passing criteria is 40% and grading system is also bery difficult, two D grade is 1 F and more than 2F could lead to year repeat year, not even semster
Alot of assigments, really hectic at times

Placement Experience:

We have avergae package of 12 lpa and 57lpa highest, i am not aware of how mqny placed. As such i have plan to get placed but if things didnt go out as planed then mba or mtech maybe. Our campus just opened recently so there is no much information but our placements are central that means, companies visting mumbai have to visit us too, and u can refer mumbai campus placement for our campus because its counted on central level and not varries campus to campus

Remarks:

There are very limited art college in india and GCA Chandigarh is 1 of them. I opted for printmaking because I wanted to explore different mediums of expression. The college is well equipped with faculty experienced in their own particular mediums aswell as exploring new mediums. You will get the freedom to build you creativity.
