My days in Behala college

The course curriculum had basic subjects such as Introduction to biology, biodiversity, Algae and microbiology for the first two semesters. Some advanced subjects were introduced later in our curriculum that included Cell Biology, plant resource management and many others.

There are very few placements provided by our college. Most of the students are not placed in the college itself rather they apply for jobs themselves. There were various career counselling clubs in our college that guided us to take the best jobs like ecologist,plant biochemist, resource botanist and many more.

Our college promotes the best education in the lowest fees. The annual fees of the college is really very inexpensive. Many scholarship opportunities were also provided to us on the basis of the merit.

There are various clubs in our college that are highly active such as the sports club, cultural club, literary club and the dramatics society. Many programs were organized in the college such as skill development program, special tutorial and remedial classes for the students. There are many clubs for extra co-curricular activities. Such clubs include NSS, NCC, Sports club that organized the Annual Sports meet ( inter college and inter university tournaments). The classrooms and the research labs are very spacious and are well equipped

The admissions here are done on the basis of merit of class XII exams.The minimum eligibility criteria is 50% of marks in 12th from a recognized board. I easily got admission here by applying online on the official college website and then I was called in the college to submit my various documents.

Our college has one of the most experienced faculty members from all over the country. The college organizes various inter college faculty exchange programs for the teachers. The teachers here make use of the correct teaching methodology that helped me personally to understand the topics even better.
