All Over Behala college

Likes

College campus, basketball ground, my department
I am a NCC student so I like to do NCC practice
I like to attend seminar and Carrier councilling

Dislikes

There are not so much facilities in this college
Small campus and so many rules in this college
I don't like the juniors cause they have not any manners

Course Curriculum Overview:

College have WiFi connection, practical labs, well maintained classrooms, a smart library, a big basketball ground, a big terrace and many more. There are a canteen that was average and foods are tasty enough. There is no hostel but you have to find any PG, in there locality.

College Life in Behala College

Likes

The faculties in my department are mostly post dot teachers and their teaching skills are far more exceptional.
Our campus have a very huge pond with us surrounding Garden which is a very cool place to hangout after off periods and breaks.
We have a boys common room and girls common room where indoor games like Carrom table tennis is played for recreational purposes.

Dislikes

The timings of each department class sometimes and the Teachers remain unbolded where the classes are missed except the own department.
The re. novation for first floors rooms must be done because the ceiling and the walls are not in a good condition being a A++ college
Teachers sometimes randomly cancel their classes when they face difficulties in their personal life without informing us

Placement Experience:

As much as have heard most of the students usually go out of city to study MSc after completing the BSc course our college have only two MSc departments that is Physics and Chemistry. Usually companies come and want to take MSc completed students for job purposes since most students go out of city to complete for other exams like IIT JAM. Placements in our college is very minimum the students completing BSc usually get placements wearing from 50000 to 100000 rupees per year.

Overall Good experience

Likes

Campus is good we have a garden , a basketball court .
Teacher's are very friendly and helpful and faculty is good .
Our college takes good initiatives and arrange for good seminars very frequently

Dislikes

The canteen could be improved a little . Food options are quite limited
Classrooms could be improved and could be more neat and clean
Not much things to complain overall very good experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I selected this course because I am naturally interested in computer science and moreover computer science is a very good course . The curriculum is very holistic and covers all necessary topics . The course could more practical than theory is based this would be my suggestion.

A detailed review about college.

Likes

The supportive nature of teachers and facility of digital library in our college.
The fests and special competitions organized by college.
A good and positive environment in college .Here the percentage of ragging is 0%.

Dislikes

They should focus a little bit on outdoor sports like cricket and football and should organize tournaments like other colleges under Calcutta University.
The computer lab now needs to updated with latest technologies
They should build their own pg for outstation students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The growing need of technology in job field specifically encouraged me to take this course .Here you can do masters after your bachelors to expand your knowledge and can give GATE exam also to study further in grade a tier colleges.Difficulty of exams was moderate in odd sems and a little bit easy in even sems but that does not mean you can pass easily in honours subject without studying.Yeah the syllabus of cu should be upgraded to focus more on technical and practical knowledge.

The Teachers are quite cooperative, study is mainly practical

Dislikes

Very unhygienic canteen and very bad food quality
Teachers don't come on time and classes get rescheduled every now and then

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is kind of interesting though the main problem about all bachelors course is the placement issue. And if we continue to pursue Masters then there's only a single way to earn that is Teaching. The college needs to fix a schedule and exercise a thorough routine with the classes. The problem with the syllabus being not finished due exams is another issue that mostly affects every student.

I liked the freshers & social cultural fest.
I also liked good interactions with seniors.
Lots of trees planted across the campus.

Dislikes

I don't like the over agression of Union.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bsc(Hons) in Computer Science at Behala College is at 3years course at the UG level. The course offers admission to 30 students. The department of Computer Science in Behala College arranges for summer internships & the booming IT sector has plenty of job opportunities for fresh Computer Science graduates

Faculty- professors are highly experienced and there teaching way
Sports as i am sports lover and I can participate and represent my college and by performance i can get further chances
The environment is very peaceful its ragging free

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester you are eligible for placements companies like Wipro, Tata fiber etc and placement percentage is near around 80 to 85 with having highest package this year was of 20 lakh per annum

Faculty : Student Ratio for the college is 1:20 Faculties have a Master's as their Highest Qualification Semester examinations are being held in 6 months

Course Curriculum Overview:

Totally average and not much helpful. There were 60 students in my class. It is on luck few teachers were excellent like one sir rest were too busy. Too much attitude and not explaining or repeating concepts. So don't depend on teachers yes connection with them is helpful, Study Yourself.

Behala college affordable

Remarks:

Good location, A accredited, gud faculty, Gud lab facility. Has a large library with gud reading facility. Lacks gud laboratory, games facility,cateen is not well managed, Building is not well maintained. Some teachers are new inexperienced. Admission was taken on merit. It was easily completed. Choose it due to its affordability, location and overall satisfactory review.
