Remarks

Management at our time was unprofessional. Labs were inadequate with equipment/tools/machines etc. Professors were not interested in teaching (barring a few) and facilities were not maintained. Some of this could have been due to lack of funds but most of it was due to lack of leadership, vision, commitment and dedication.

Entrance Preview

There was no entrance exam back then. Physics, Chemistry and Math % grade from 12th was considered as the only criteria for selection. Secured 95%.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum was detailed and thorough. There was a healthy mix of classroom, laboratory as well as in-plant industrial experience/courses.It aligned very well with the desired training for a production engineer

Internships Opportunities

Stipend was 1200 Rs./month. The experience was great. It gave us real-life experience working at a manufacturing factory and helped us identify gaps in our knowledge and reality.

Placement Experience

3

Almost 100% placement across all types of industries dominated by IT and Services. Back in 2001, the salaries ranged from 1.5 lacs per annum to 5 lacs per annum. All major IT, electronics, automotive, engineering and construction companies visited the campus for recruitment.

College Events

3.5

College holds mainly cultural and technical festivals. These are highly impactful in developing students in rounded manner. It gives several opportunities to learn softer skills like leadership and collaboration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Highly affordable back in 2001. We had to pay a nominal amount per year covering educational and living expenses. Things were definitely inexpensive back then.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not aware of any loan facility.Fee waivers were offered to teachers' wards, economically backward classes etc.

Campus Life

1.5

These lacked structure and leadership oversight. Students were organizing and managing these events. College needs to give high amount of focus from institution leaders to establish a strong structure/calendar/purpose for all the events.

Hostel Facilities

1

Absolutely poor. The hostel were not maintained. It was rampant with infestations, dirty toilets, lack of hot water and well functioning necessities (fans, tubes etc.). The mess food was of poor quality and taste. There was absolutely no focus on cleanliness and installing high standard of facilities in the hostel or mess. Things were managed just to keep things moving.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior and fellow students were the best part about this college. Almost everything I learned was due to the company of my seniors and fellows. The college has a strong alumni network as well.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was appropriate. We had semesterly exams. There was sufficient time for preparation as well. No complaints on this.

Faculty

1.5

There were some exceptional top class professors but these were few and far in-between. Most professors lacked the basic understanding of the subject they were supposed to be experts at. Overall the teaching was below average and seriously lacked professionalism by the professors.

Placement Experience:

Placements at ADYPU are moderate and structred . Students usually become eligilble from the final year for campus drives. Various startups and mid level comapnies visit for roles in sales, marketing, operatioons and tech support . The highest pacakage generally ranges arounf 45-50LPA , while the average package is around 4.5-6 LPA , depending on the profile . A fair percentage of active students secure placements. After completing my degree, i plan to focus on skill development and pursue better career op;portunities.
