Course Curriculum Overview

The course focuses on your overall thoughts about fashion, starting with illustrations to enhance your imagination and practical designing classes to make virtual things go real. I had to take GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT (Creative Ability Test) which was conducted by the college followed by group discussions and personal interview which lead to my final selection in the college.

Placement Experience

I'll be honest, I guess this is the only field where people have a wide option of internship opportunities. From digital illustrations to fashion bloggers and fashion managing intern to creative writers, we are capable of it all. The college helped me in getting an internship at POPxo as a fashion writing intern. The job is quite decent as well, the stipend completely depends on individual skills and experiences and may hike up to 13 L p.a

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee for B.Des (Fashion Design) is approximately 11.36 Lakh. I find the college quite affordable as it is fashion college we are talking about. The college provides with every comfort from an amazing infrastructure to all wifi classrooms.

Campus Life

There are a lot of societies of poetry, dancing, acting, designing, debate to allow people from diverse creative genre to feature their talent. I love how everyone marks their presence to support the talents of other people.

Admission

After completing my 12th standard from a Science background, I decided to go for fashion designing due to my impeccable sense of designing clothes and accessories in leisure time. After doing online registration and filling a form, I had to appear for NIFT entrance exam, I met the cut-off expectations of NIFT and was invited for counselling round after which I met the cut-off expectation again and was asked to choose the college along with the course.

It's hard to stop talking about people who help you grow not only mentally but also changes your living and dressing style. The faculty is not just aware of the chic designs but they also behold the unique knowledge of ancient materials and recreations.

Nothing tell about bad things only good thing are there.

Our college comes under the Kerala Technical University(KTU) and the syllabuses are those of KTU syllabus updated on 2016. College and faculties promote and provide chances for Industrial visit in industries all over India. The faculties of our college are well experienced and with better qualifications. Prof Rajesh Menon of the mechanical department is a gold medalist from IIT MADRAS.

I choose this college because this was the best college I was getting from my rank obtained in KEAM. I cleared the cutoff for this college in second round.Admission here are given on the basis of their rank of obtained in either KEAM(Kerala engineering architecture medical entrance test) or NATA.

Remarks:

College is full of good vibes. Good environment for studying, very closr to nature. There is well equipped infrastructure. Good teaching and non teaching staff. A strict management make the college and students disciplined.

Remarks:

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

Student Experience at NIFT

I had applied to different courses, like law or architecture. But I didn't pursue the above said courses as NIFT gave me a better opportunity to dive into different streams and more interesting perspectives. There was no rejection from any college. There is an entrance exam for B.Des- which consists of 2 written tests - creative aptitude test and genetal aptitude test, followed by a situation test and then admission counselling. Nift kannur review

I didn't really applied for any other college as my preference was only fixed to national institute. As you know the status and prestige a national institute holds compared to any other private colleges. Admission process of nift started through giving nift entrance exam which was held by NTA in year 2024.
