Life in KPC

The college is really good and in my opinion is on of the best colleges in Kolkata to pursue your career as a doctor. The overall college atmosphere is very supportive and fun. Everybody is so kind here and you don't find any discrimination anywhere.

The courses and the curriculum is decided by the medical council. The courses are scheduled neatly without imposing much pressure on the students. We are required to do a lot of research work under the guidance of a senior faculty.

The placement opportunities in our college are immense. Our college is quite a reputed college in Kolkata, hence finding a job is not a difficult task. We even get a good pay. We even have a wonderful option of working in their own hospital which also pays us really good.

Our college is quite famous across Kolkata o its events. There is an annual event called PLEXUS, where a huge gathering of students takes place. A lot of cultural festa are also held and everybody is allowed to take part in them.

The tuition fee is around 4,60,000 excluding the admission and the examination fee. hostel fee is also not included in tuition fee. The fee is okay but it would be much better if they reduce it a little.

There is no scholarship provided by the college. But you can directly apply for a government scholarship is you are economically backward or if you are a meritorious student. The college does help you pay fee through student loan.

All the labs here are quite up-to-date. Though slight renovations may be good. The college is active when it comes to extracurricular activities and sports. Sports events are conducted throughout the year and the talented students are encouraged to participate.

I don't live in a hostel. But to what i have heard from my friends, it is pretty decent. The rooms are spacious and 3 to 4 people share one room. There are separate washrooms. Everybody is provided with their on separate bed, desk, cupboards etc. There is also a swimming pool for students to relax and chill.

Our seniors here are really cool. They help us with our academics. They guide us on how to perform better. Alumni of our college are very successful people now. Most of them are very great doctors and they are sometimes invited for guest lectures as well.

I graduated MBBS with good grades. After competing one year internship, I decided to do MD. And so I appeared for NEET-PG and luckily i qualified it with a good score. Later on I applied for various institutes but to my surprise I got selected in suge a reputed one. It feels like an honour to study here.

The faculty here is simply awesome. They are very close and wonderful. They help us understand the topics clearly. They even stay after college hours during exam times with us in case we need any help. They are available throughout the day to help us.
