Remarks

This college has everything from a good education to extracurricular activities. Teachers have received many awards. They have government tie-ups. This is the best technical and teacher training institution in Chandigarh. there masters and PhD programme are the best. You will definitely learn a lot here.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is approved by AICTE/PU. In this course, 12 subjects are covered in the first three semesters and the fourth semester is dedicated to the thesis work. Exam structure has Internal assessment, university exam which brings the total to 100 marks each subject. It includes practical too.

Placement Experience

We do our thesis work with prominent industry and research organization some of them are Honda motor company, CSIO Chandigarh, Vikram Sarabhai space centre. We have summer training, laboratory practices. In our department, we have six to eight weeks training.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Total fees for M.E mechanical engineering is Rs1.35lakhs. Which is Rs69,400 for the first year. For the second year, it is Rs65,640. Hostel charges are not included. You can pay the fee through the online college portal.

Campus Life

We have many extracurricular activities. There us gymnasium and playground. We celebrate yoga day, labour day, and annual workshops for preparing OPLAN. Annual sports day is one of the best events. Students from different religions and cultures are studying in this college.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, the college has hostel facilities. There are two girls hostel two bots hostel and one guest house. In both, the hostels have 150 rooms approx. They have hot water facilities, room services such as bed tea, water cooler is available as well. The washroom is common. It is Rs10,000 per semester.

Admission

I got admission here on the basis of entrance exam conducted by PU that it OCET. If you cleared the exam and your name in the merit list is given. You will be called for counselling. Admission on the basis of GATE score is also done.

Faculty

3.5

All the faculty of mechanical engineering is p.hd degree holders. They have their area of specialisation in which they are proficient. Teachers here are thoughtful and understanding. They encourage us and support us too.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

There is a placement cell but I do not have much information about it, as my course does not offer any placements, but there are other courses such as BCA, BCom and BSc CS which offers placement, according to me it must be around 30k to 40k per month

College Life : An interesting part of life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a Science student , I loved my curriculum as it provides application parts with laboratories . I choose this course as I always wanted to learn more about science and its various fields. For me overall curriculum is good and have moderate level but I would suggest to reduce the syllabus little bit so that most of the students can learn whole syllabus Exams are being conducted regularly as per the University guidelines.
