Remarks
I would suggest the college to make the timings of the course more flexible as it usually wore us out. And also suggest some field trips to other sports institutions.
Entrance Preview
I just passed my +2 and applied in pggc by filling a form. I had played sports before and had already won some competitions in judo . I just had to pass a physical Test to get into this college which wasn’t very difficult.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was fairly average, not really what I expected it to be but overall it was a good experience. There was a good amount of focus on practical learning as we had two practical classes everyday i.e morning and evening but the theory part i.e the knowledge delivered to us via the syllabus was basic.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, we did have a training after 3rd year. Students were sent to different schools of Chandigarh for 2 months to experience what teaching is like. We taught higher classes during that period. Two students were sent to one school. We didn’t get ant stipend.
Placement Experience
The course that we were doing was a teaching course so most of us went ahead and enrolled in post graduation. Since this course was a teaching course, we didn’t have any companies come in for placements
College Events
Our college had cultural fests sometimes. Our department i.e the sports department had numerious sports events involving different games. There were athletic meets, football intercollege, athletics intercollege etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was a very affordable course. Annual fee - ₹28,000 This kind of amount can be spared easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don’t have much idea about the scholarships that our college offered.
Campus Life
Yes, we did have some opportunities to explore our inner talents. I had a keen interest in athletics and football. I got to participate in numerous competitions of the same and had a chance to showcase my talents.
Hostel Facilities
No, I wasn’t staying in the hostel as I was a day scholar and my residence was fairly close to the college. It took me about 25 minutes to reach the college.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, we did have interactions with alumni but that was all in our personal time because most of our seniors were doing post graduation from our college itself.
Exam Structure
We were a part of an annual system which meant that the examination was held at the end of the session. So we didn’t have a very hectic schedule as far as the exams were concerned.
Faculty
The faculty was good. They had really good quality teachers but as it is in every institution they did have some flaws as well. But since the course was fairly easy, we were not at a disadvantage although some of the teachers did not deliver as per the standard of the subject.
