Course Curriculum Overview

The course was three years long and we had semester system where the examinations were conducted every semester in the form of internal and external. The course was practical dominated so we had practical? at the end of each external examination too. The curriculum required a lot of hard work but it was very relaxing.

Placement Experience

The job opportunities were provided at the end of third year where we needed to fill a placement form. Companies like HCL, Intel, Dell, Google and so on used to come and interview the students on the basis of self made it an academic performances. 65% of the students used to get place through the campus, rest wanted to pursue masters.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college was very feasible and the total computer science course was completed in less than Rs.10,000. The fees could be submitted in the form of demand draft, card payments but no cash was accepted at the University. The exposure provided by the college was very valuable than the fees demanded.

Campus Life

The college had big library, the computer laboratories equipped with all the equipment. The up-to-date system provided at the labs with the finest stuff enabled the campus to be a college of vast computer knowledge. The students used to come from all backgrounds and the campus had a lot of diversity. There were play grounds provided which enable the students to play sports.

Admission

I apply to the college after giving my 12th board examinations and the admission was on the basis of the 12th four percentage. The application form was available online and I applied through the official website with the attachment of all the documents. This cheap and good college course was discovered by me through college Duniya. After submitting the documents I was called upon the campus for the interview session and got enrolled for the BSC computer science.

Faculty

All the teachers at the college for very supportive and for nobles in their respective fields with the PhD degrees. They have a vast experience in the computer field and provided us with the guidance through a future, they used to give lectures and provided us the exposures. They also gave the recommendation letters for the future job opportunities even after masters.

From 2nd semester, students eligible for campus placements. Tcs, wipro, cognizant visited over the year. Highest and lowest not known. 20% students got placed from here in average. I'll persue intership or job.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Niper Kolkata: from starting to end

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

Placement Experience:

The senario of placement in all of the private colleges of West Bengal are more or less the same. Majority of the students are placed in Service Based Companies like TCS, Wirpo, Infosys, HCL, Accenture, Cognizent, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. These companies offer anywhere from 3.6 to 6 lpa packages. Only a handful of Product based companies come in these private colleges and cherry pick 2-3 student per college only. This is the reality of all the private colleges, not just our college. If you want to crack a high paying job, you will have to do it off campus. The students are eligible for internships from the 6th semester itself. The college does try to provide internship to students but only a few students end up getting the internships and most students need to find internships on their own. Some companies which came in 24-25 session which offered an internship and PPO are Amazon, SAP Labs, Accenture, etc. For a detailed placement stat, go to our college's website and look for training and placement stats. The college is honest in putting these stats. The stats are mostly reliable. The highest off campus placement in 24-25 session was by Snehadeep De, who secured a SDE role in Amazon with 47 lpa CTC. This was off campus so the college had no role to play here. The highest on campus placement was by two students in the company Juspay. They were offered the SDE role for 27 lpa CTC. The average placement of all the CS branches will be around 5-6 lpa. And approximately around 60-65% of the students get placed. This is the ground reality. And its the same in all of the WB private colleges. If you want to keep a backup option in case you don't want to get a 3.6 lpa job then start preparing for GATE, CAT or Civil Services from your second year. Its always preferred to have a backup option cause you can't trust a private college for providing you jobs.

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Good College

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility usually starts in the final year, but there are limited opportunities. Some IT and outsourcing companies visit, but they offer low salary packages. The average package offered is not very high about 3-4 LPA and only a small percentage of students get placed. Many students prefer to pursue an MCA or learn additional skills like web development, data science or cyber security to improve their job prospects. After completing my BCA, I plan to gain experience in IT related jobs improve my technical skills and possibly pursue higher studies like MCA. I might also explore freelancing or certification to increase job opportunities. Since I already have customer service and telecalling experience, I may also consider IT support roles before moving into core technical jobs. Building skills and networking will be important for getting a good job after graduation.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.
