NPTI proposes to conduct Skill development Programs in all areas of Renewable Energy Sources, Smart Grid, Smart Village development, Decentralized Generation & Distribution, Programs on Regulatory Framework & Commercial Aspects, Demand Side Management & Energy Efficiency, Power Markets etc. to achieve the Ministry of Power? target of training Seven (7) lakhs Manpower in the Skill development and other associated programs.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college recognized the need for making this technically trained manpower readily available to the Power Sector in line with its present and future requirements. It was felt that requirement of trained manpower for Power Sector could be fulfilled. Duration of the course is one year, consisting of two semesters covering formal training at Institutes and industrial/field training.
Placement Experience
The highest salary package offered was 6.25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Vedanta, Hindalco, Philips, and Carbon Black visit our campus for placements. Top roles, like power plant operation and maintenance, are offered to the students. Only two students got an internship in companies like Reliance.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is 2.3l which is high. This includes 20k for counselling. There are scholarships for the ones who need it. The hostel and mess fees are different from this. The knowledge and placements make it worthwhile.
Campus Life
Control and Instrumentation Lab, with facilities for testing, calibration and repairs of different types of process control instruments. Maintenance Workshops for Valves, Bearings & Shaft Alignment, Pumps, Motors etc. NPTI has equipped itself with a 500 MW & 430 MW CCGT Training Simulator at Corporate Office.
Admission
To get admission Admissions to this course are made through Common Entrace Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in May/June every year with an intake of 60 students.
Faculty
Teachers in our college were helpful. They have a good experience at teaching as well as regarding power plant. For some special class, the college invites experienced faculty from other colleges. They also helped us outside of college.
