Course Curriculum Overview

As part of curriculum English is the major subject along with three other optional Indian languages. The optional Indian languages is Bengali, Urdu and Hindi. There are two other elective subjects that a student can opt for. The elective subjects are as follows: History, Education & Political Science and Education.

Placement Experience

As our college is an entirely government college the placement activties are at a nascent stage. With stark openings for B.A students there are very less internships available. I received an internship opportunity from a private firm offering Rs 5000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is highly affordable with an yearly tuition fees of Rs 900. There are other expenses to be met like session fees, development fees, library fees, college exam fees, identity card, registration fees and registration form.

Campus Life

There are a few co-curricular activities and one of them is karate. Our college is also involved in the National Service Scheme doing good deeds for the public. There is cultural competition held by the Student's Union- Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, Teacher's Day, Republic Day and Blood Donation Camps.

Admission

I came to know about the college from my friends. I chose a B.A(Honors) in English since I was a Arts student. For the application I had to pay Rs 110. I had to submit my application form along with my 12th mark sheet. Admission is generally merit-based. There are two merit lists for the students.

Faculty

Professor Seema Roy is our English teacher. Professor Sucharita Roy Chowdhury is some one who teaches us Education and Dr Paromita Das teaches us History. Our faculty is highly qualified and extremely helpful.

Yes our college offers campus placements.Students from 4th year are eligible for campus placements.Many reputed nation and international companies like microsoft,Wipro,TCS, Infosys and many more companies offrers placement every year in this college. arrording to 2025 deta overall placement rate was 82 percent, Highest packege was 80 lpa and average packege was 12.6lpa. My only plan to get a good placements.

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

The cutoff is very low, and there is 200-250 seats in the commerce department. The timing of awesome or January to March and timing of even sins are July to August. And the examination will be difficult the questions are cited and moderated by University of Calcutta.
