I did my graduation in commerce from this college in accounting and finance. It was three year full time course with major focus on subjects like accounting, cost accounting, statistics, financial accounting, general management, etc. Examinations are conducted at the end of each year.

Placement Experience

Talking of the placements, The institute does not have an efficient placement cell to train the students.The students have to prepare themselves for the industries and placements. However the students must perform well in academics for further recruitments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Faculties of our department motivated us with enthusiasm. They had effective communication and listening skills and used to Put information across in a clear, understandable manner.They had passion for their subject and used to make learning activities fun.

Campus Life

The institute organises various debates, seminars, inter college competitions like cricket, football, and athletics to keep the students motivated. Students participate in large numbers and also receive medals and trophies. Several indoor activities like chess, table tennis, snooker games are also held

Admission

I applied to this college through offline mode. I grabbed a copy of application form from the office and submitted it with the required documents. I also downloaded the challan for filling the application form from the official website and Submitted the application fee INR 100 through challan at the respective bank.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

The cutoff is very low, and there is 200-250 seats in the commerce department. The timing of awesome or January to March and timing of even sins are July to August. And the examination will be difficult the questions are cited and moderated by University of Calcutta.
