Engg College Days at CUCEK

CUCEK is located on an island called Pulincunnu, surrounded by back waters, Scenic beauty, Clean and calm environment. Good place to study and learn a lot.

CUSAT Engg entrance, My rank in year 2001 was around 3000+, CUSAT campus is the first preference though , I could not get a free seat there.Ours was the 3 rd bacth in CUCEK, Buildings were not in place and infrastructure was not at the best . but beautiful place to be in. Now CUCEK has come a long way with its own buildings and Lab facilities. In 2005 itself all who managed to pass got placed through the placement cell.

Super tough. You are Brilliant if you manage to pass all in the first attempt itself:). Very Solid curriculum for al the Engg. streams. In my class of 60 only 4 could pass all exams in the very first attempt.

For Internship there were very few companies which came to campus. We had to go to trivandrum or coching for Interns, and Projects. but these days things are different.

100 % placement if you manage to pass.In 2005 multiple companies like Infosys. Wipro, TCS, CTS, Accenture, Siemens etc had come for Campus placement. and In those days itslef they were offerring 1.8 to 3 L per annum.

All Festivals were celebrated as we had students from all over India. Onam used to be grand and College Days were special. Lot of fun activities and Entire college would come together.

Free seats and management seats pay structure are different, Free Seats are obviously feasible, Even Payement seats are Ok when compared to other Non Govt Colleges.

Not Aware of any scholarship but yes you wil get loans form all nationalized banks. Counters for bank loans wil be there during the counselling itself.

CUSAT syllabus is rated as one of the top in the Entire India, And we used to have regular seminars and similar activities through the course. Inter college and Intra college sports events happen every year.

College didnot have a hostel for Boys in our days but lot of private hostels have come up now in the area, We used to live in PGs and food used to be amazing.

Thanks to Whatsapp most of us are still connected, as all are busy with their work and families We are not able to arrange a get together in a mass scale. but yes We are planning something bigger.

1st year 10 Papers + 2 labs, 2nd year onwards 5 papars each semester + 2 labs. Total marks for each is 150 , 50 for Internal and 100 External, One should score Minimum 45 in External and overall 75 to pass.

It was good with some very experienced Professors and lecturers. Also there were few Fresh pass out teachers as well. I would say all together Faculty was strong and is strong today as well.
