The college is environment is filled with knowledge and bliss. Both teaching and non - teaching staff are helpful. Hostel accommodations can be developed here. Apart from this, curriculum and activities keeps all the students busy, thus, bringing the most out of them.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since the doctorate program is purely research based, the student is completely engrossed in it. The entire program is of 3 years only as compared to the other programs such as Ph.D. in any science subjects which lasts for 5 years.
Placement Experience
Internships are encouraged to make a robust portfolio for future opportunities. It can be easily done by seeking permission from the department head. Placements are made in the fields of academics, archeologist, archivist or a museum manager.
Fee Structure And Facilities
This doctorate program is a full time course for 3 years and tuition fees are 15,000/- per year. In the 1st year one has to pay an additional 2,500/- for registration and other relevant fees. The fees is feasible for this course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available for postgraduate students only which rank 1st and 2nd in the merit list. Amaongst these a scholarship is also reserved for SC/ST students. The institute offers 8-8 merit scholarships for each subject to first and second year postgraduate students. Of these, a scholarship is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (SC) students. Moreover, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Stitching Restaurant Attelier Limburg has announced scholarships to 16 Indian students engaged in the conservation of artifacts.
Campus Life
The institute is a mixture of both Indian and foreign students. All of them are encouraged to learn and grasp various languages in the workshops, seminars and discussions arranged with the experts. Apart from this, study tours to various sites are held to enhance knowledge.
Hostel Facilities
This institute doesn't have hostel facilities. If one chooses to then he/she can look for comfortable hostels or paying guest rooms around the campus. Since the campus lies in Delhi NCR, it shouldn't be hard to find accommodation. All restaurants are at walkable distance too.
Admission
This institute invites applicants for various Ph.D. courses like history of art, conservation and museology. The criteria is to clear the entrance test and the interview held by the professors. The research idea is to be explained there with relevant details. Once approved the by the panel, one gets the admission.
Faculty
Every Ph.D student is provided with a research guide amaongst the faculty throughout the course. All the details of study are discussed with him prior to submission of the thesis. The guide always gives ideas and pointers in the research paper to make it better.
