- Accessible research guide- The supervisors are very accessible to students. The institute students can also avail libraries both at NMI, now IIH and national museum library. The institute has world class faculty and facilities
Dislikes
- The new campus of the institute is now at Noida sector 62, which is very far from the center of the city and students are now very far from the National museum as well, where they used to study experientially and are now devoid of it............
Course Curriculum Overview
The institute is one of a kind and offers world class facilities. In Museology, it is the top tier in India. In the institute, we get opportunities to network with eminenent scholars of the field and it also has an exchange program with university of Birmingham.
Fees and Financial Aid
The registration fees is INR 500, caution fees is 2000 and yearly fees is 15000/- It is consistent across categories. University Grants commission JRF and other fellowships are available for students.
Campus Life
The Insititute does not have annual/ technical fests. The books available in the library range from Art history to Museology to conservation science and Archaeology, Paleography and Epigraphy and general books about museums.
Admission
I did not apply to any other university. The admission process at my institute is a written exam, then a proposal presentation and then announcement of results. UGC Net is accepted by the institute.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is excellent, as I mentioned the student intake is only 4-5, and two supervisors. Dr .Manvi Seth is very learned and an established scholar. There is only one exam, research writing assignment, a pre submission presentation and a defence presentation. No other exams conducted.
Night Life
There are no gyms, a cafetaria is available and is available to be accessed by both hostellers and outsiders.Hostel is closed off by 10 PM everyday. The locality is not safe to roam around at night.
