Remarks

There is no negative remark for the university. The Campus provided hostel facility for both boys and girls. Campus had 300 acres of land with gardens and mordern farm facilities. The Faculty Members were supportive and experienced. Placements were also good. Overall, the university was quite awesome.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course Curriculum was quite easy with lot of practical things along with theoritical part. It was quite relevant for students. Exam pattern was divided into two categories that were internal and external.

Placement Experience

4

The Placements of University of horticultural Sciences are above than average. The university provides many job opportunities for the students. When I was there, there were many students from my senior batch who got government jobs whereas few of them got private jobs. Most of the students from my batch also got placement including me as well. Yes, the university provides internships for students in the field of horticulture. I took part in an internship and got 10k per month as stipend .

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for students who are applying for University of Horticultural Sciences. The Fee Structure is too low in comparison to other universities. When I studied there, the B.Sc(Horticulture Science ) fee was Rs.32,130 for 1st year and Rs. 29,785 for the rest two years. Overall, fees was Rs.91,700 for 3 years which was easily affordable by the students.

Campus Life

Different types of extracurricular activities were conducted inside the campus. Different capacity building events were organized by the university. The university invited experts from reputated institutions. Extracurricular actvities included Convocations, Bruhat Udyana Mela and Field days and many more.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, I was a hostler. The hostel infrastructure was quite amazing. It was surrounded by gardens and greenery. The hostel includes single, double and triple seater rooms. The rooms had all the basic facilities. The Room included a bed, chair, table and an almirah which was engraved inside the wall. The hostel was also equipped with Wi-Fi facility. Every floor of hostel had two water coolers. The quality of food provided in the mess was good .

Admission

Admission process for the graduate programmes begin in the month of June/July. The eligibility criteria for Under-Graduate admissions includes 50% aggregate marks in 12th board and KEA by CET (Common Entrance Test). I got admission easily because I scored 90% in 12th board and also qualified the entrance exam.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members of our university were quite experienced. They all were very cooperative and helped us with all of our problems. They all had an ample knowledge in the domain of horticulture. Faculty Members were too supportive in nature. They always gave us valuable advice.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
