Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested in marine mechanical engineering field, so I just took this course. The curriculum includes subjects such as Machine Learning, Digital Twin and others, which are very essential in real world, but they are not effectively thought. The gap between CIEs will be a month and for sem exams it will be around 4 months.
Placement Experience
From 5th semester itself the students are eligible to apply the campus placements according to the company requirements. The placement cell of the campus is very well. There are some set of rules in the cell. Many of the companies offer employments to the students studying in the college. Some of the popular companies include Infosys, Wipro, Bosch, Catterpillar, IBM, TCS and others. The students with above 8 CGPA have 90% chance of getting placed. I am also planning to getting placed after completion of my course.
Fees and Financial Aid
Last year the the board fees was 47000 and the college fees was 13000. So total was 60000. This year they have breakdown the fee structure as board fees 55000, exam fees 2500 and others 2500. So total is 60000.
Campus Life
Mainly there are two fests occur in our college. One is technical fest which is known by Phase shift and an anual fest known as Utsav. The library is very huge equipped with many technical books, computers with internet, discussion rooms, and all are AC cabins. Every classes are huge and have a big black board. We do have a sports complex, an indoor stadium with badminton courts and basketball court, a small ground where students play kabaddi, volleyball, cricket and many others. There are many student clubs which are based on specific branches, fests and other fields.
Admission
I gave first preference to RVCE, but as my rank was less compared to cut off, I was unable to get a seat in the college and I ended up getting the seat in BMSCE which was my 2nd preference. The admission process is easy not much hectic. They will provide all the procedure required for admission. They even have their own mail system, they provide college mail id to all the students. The students will receive mails regarding the college events, notices and any other things.
Faculty
There are many faculties for particular subjects but they are less likely approachable. Most of the faculties just try to finish the syllabus. Very few share the knowledge, teach the topics, rest all will be running behind the completion of the syllabus. They conduct 3 CIE and 1 SEM end exams. Most of them will be difficult to score. Almost around 15 to 20 people fail atleast in a single exam.
Night Life
There is no any night life near the college but there are many spiritual places such as temples and others. There are three cafeteria in the campus and many hotels, cafes, and resturants outside the campus. The are around the college is very peaceful, green with trees and have good footpaths to walk.
