Course Curriculum Overview

The courses are well-planned accordingly so that we get ample time to indulge in co-curricular activities. Curriculum includes 4 assignment, 2 internal test and 1 end semester exam. Project rooms are provided.

Placement Experience

The placements are good in our branch considering that the stream is still making its way to the top. More than 40% of the students get placed every year with the rest going for further studies. Every year, the number of placements gets increased.

College Events

A lot of events and cocurricular activities take place in the college. It also has neat and clean surroundings. Many other events also take place in the college which you get to know after participating in them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are very much feasible and a good option. The first year tuition fees are Rs. ?1165 and the overall fees for a period of three years in B.A are Rs. Rs. 3495. The university follows three times shift in a day.

Campus Life

There is full freedom in our college, and the student union has a powerful strength. Seniors are very responsive to help.The college provides many facilities for the gym, and there are other indoor sports like squash, badminton, table tennis, basketball, etc.

Admission

Students need to have passed in HS/ISC/CBSE/NIOS 10+2 examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in best four subjects taken together in order to be eligible for the following course. The selection is solely based on merit.

The faculty is highly educated and experienced. They are very helpful and easy to talk to. Every faculty member will provide the students with their personal WhatsApp in case of any doubts. They are professional and knowledgeable.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
