Management is good here but the academics staff are very lazy. Overall the institute is very good and the best place to learn.

GATE, 450, NIT Rourkela is one of the top ranked institute in India. Its infrastructure is also very good.

As a PHD student you have to obtain minimum 24 credits in 18 months and you also have to clear comprehensive exam. then you will get eligibility to give registration seminar. further there will be a progressive seminar after 2 years of enrollment. later synopsis once you finished your research work. finally defense seminar.

As per the new notification from MHRD for first 2 years 25000/- and next 3 years 28000/-, here few faculty offers internship. students from different parts of India used to come here during winter and summer holidays.

Placements are good for B.tech and M.tech students but for PHD there are no placements. But they refer to good institutes for jobs

There are lot of events happens here, ex: tech fest, sports fest, cultural fest, NITR utsav, innovision, Zonasa, cutural night, film festival etc. every week there will be some event gng here and there.

Semester fees for phd: acedamic 7, 500/- is fees and mess fees around 20000/-, SAC:2500, medical incurance: 1000, library : 2500 etc. approximately 35000/-

Here every one enjoys their campus life in a different way, lot of memories, clubs, night canteens etc. labs are decent and we are having almost all varieties of play grounds. b.tech students used to participate in competitions even they one in majority of the times

Every student has to be there in hostel only, every one gets single room. Hostel are very good to stay. other than AC. you will get all the facilities. food is average.

Alumni is very supportive here, they used to come every year. they have facebook pages and blogs. They will be in-touch with the present students. they help to our institute and students.

Here the faculty are very good in nature. most of the faculty are from IITs and NITs. So they are very friendly.coming to standards there are lot of licenced software's available and a big library with lot of books are also there.
