Entrance Preview

We have to attend Kerala Entrance Examination for Engineering onthe year 2010. For which i secured 20,720th rank. I opted this college because it's so close to my home. Just 5mins drive. Moreover it's rated as one of the most prestigious private college in South India run by Malankara Catholic Christians.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well, I studied Civil Engineering in this college. This college runs under the Kerala University Course curriculum, which doesnt focus much on research syllabus during my time. I studied under 2008 engineering scheme which is least job oriented curriculum though we had several labd and practical workshops. The more focus is put on scoring marks rather than personnel development in leadership and entrepreneurship skills.

Internships Opportunities

No, they do not provide internships at all. But there are industrial training period which is just for 7 days maximum. I think to know more about the industry a 7 days internship is too mean to be considered even. The college does not offer any initiatives from their side for internships we ourselves have to find out the companies.

Exam Structure

In my scheme, we have got 2 internal exams and one university exam in each semester. For each semester there would be 6 theory papers and 2 lab examinations. Besides getting marks for theory paper in the university exam we need to get a minimum 35 marks o

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. Nearly 85% students from Circuit and CS branch get placed and around 60% in core branches who sit for placements, My plans after getting the degree is to join MBA to learn how business world works and how the money flows

My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels.
