Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is one of the best in the country. The duration is of 4 years with 2 semesters every year. In the first year, all branches have the same course and starting from the second year, we are taught the core subjects of our branch. Every week we have around 4 labs, with class tests, quizzes, mid sem and end sem exams, its quite hectic.
Placement Experience
This is one of the newly established IITs. The first year batch is yet to be placed in 2020. But, many of the students are doing internships with tech giants like Microsoft, Google, with many getting selected for Gsoc. So, one can imagine the quality and future offers for the batch.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I have to pay around 2.26 Lakh per year(hostel and mess excluded). This fees will include your tuition fees, admission fees, exam and all other fees. This might seem expensive for middle class but there are fee waivers provided by IIT to family with annual income less than 5 Lakh. Scholarships and bank loans can be found easily.
Campus Life
Well, we IITians don't always study. We play sports a lot. Every kind of sport is played here from football, cricket, hockey, basketball, tennis, squash, etc. Think about anything and you will find people playing it. We have our Inter IIT sports meet where we compete with other IITs. Every year we celebrate Tech fest and cultural fests in our college which is a blast. Apart from it, we also celebrate all festivals on our campus.
Admission
Almost every student who is preparing for engineering must have heard about IIT. They are the best engineering colleges the country can offer. To get into IIT, one need to clear JEE mains and then JEE advance to secure their seats. The rest counseling process takes place via JOSAA website from CBSE. Getting into an IIT is very tough as almost 15Lac applicants apply for JEE mains and around 2.5Lac get short-listed for JEE advance and only 10,000-12,000 seats are available in IIT, so you can imagine.
Faculty
Faculty is one of the best one can find in the country. All professors are highly educated, and have significant contribution in their field. They are highly experienced in teaching and they will make learning more fun to you. They are the gems of the college.
