Remarks

Due to close proximity and a number of available facilities, such as transportation, newly built hostel, stood this college out of all other availabilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always had interest in Technology, networking to be specific. This course was a perfect fit to arm me with the needed knowledge for excelling in my field of passion and especially to build a rigid base.

Placement Experience

Campus placement has become a myth and lost its meaning over the year. I believe, if you are good, you'd get opportunities to prove it. As for big tech companies, I'm sure you wouldn't expect that either for those companies to visit this area, but there are some Chandigarh and Delhi based companies visiting for students to try their best.

Fees and Financial Aid

I believe this college overs bang for the buck in terms of quality to cost ratio. The fees are not raised much, around 1% to be approx but that is negligible in comparison to other colleges in this area.

Campus Life

There are tons of annual fest, ranging from technology related to cultural exchange. With regard to the books, I'd say it has a pretty good library and it has a significant choice with on-demand service. Classrooms are well equipped with all amenities. Sports events play an important role in college life, this college is no exception to that with having a dedicated team for basketball and many more.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

How can Lovely Professional University change your way of life.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
