Remarks
The college lacks in cultural activities than other colleges as it is more focused on acadimics.
Course Curriculum Overview
The content they teach is often updated. The semester usually has three internals which are all mandatory followed by internal lab exams then semester lab exams and finally written exams. Quizzes are also taken after the internal exams that fetch us good marks.
Placement Experience
The placements statistics are amazing. For the previous batch the highest package offered was of 24 lakh from a Japanese company. Internships are also offered by companies in which students are placed in. College keeps on conducting personal development classes every sem to make us placement ready.
College Events
8th Mile is an fest conducted every once in two years that is one of the largest events. Consists of all the different departments conducting various events. It goes on for 3 days followed by some celebrity events like DJs or singers. Other famous events are TedX, Karnataka day etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure might be little expensive than other colleges. For PGCET students it's half the amount than that is paid by the management students. The fees is usually paid through NEFT but some other mode of payments are also acceptable. The college gives a breakdown of the fees paid. Only extra payments can be for the lab manuals that are mandatory and the examination fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
More scholarship opportunities are there if you are natively from Karnataka itself. The process will usually be providing your family total income etc.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is somewhat neutral. Depends on the course opted for. Parties is a no no but during some cultural events there are DJ nights. Workshops are held quite often especially the Students IEEE chapter. Students are from various states. No discrimination as such and bullying is unacceptable.
Hostel Facilities
I stay in a flat as the hostel only has a veg mess. The quality of the hostel as mentioned by my hostel mates is pretty good but the only issue is food for those especially who are non vegetarians. But overall speaking hostel is pretty good.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is very good. Often meetups are held and alumni some time come to teach the students during workshops.
Admission
I chose MCA as I had done BCA prior to this. This college has one of the best MCA in the state. The college also has very good statistics for it's placements. Had to write KMAT exam for management seat, admission done around in July end. Had to pay around 2 lakh and total fees for the duration is 6 lakhs.
Faculty
Mostly all the faculty have PhDs. They are experts in their particular domain. There are around 30 lecturers who are quite experienced. Some are experts in image processing, wireless networks etc. Professors usually even go to other colleges to teach students on different workshops.
