Remarks

The university should hire better qualified teachers and staff. They should allow the students for Moot Court Competitions, debates and other cultural fests for all round development of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

We had a five years law course. There were 10 semesters with internal and external exams. The syllabus is designed in a proper manner and it seems that the syllabus was designed as per the syllabus of PCSJ and other competitive exams. In our times, the college administration used to organise Moot Courts, Debates etc. But now they have stopped doing such things, which makes it very hard for the students to compete woth the outside world. The quality of the teachers have also deteriorated in the recent past.

Placement Experience

0.5

The college authorities does not help in getting any internship nor jobs to the students. They only inspire the students to get government job, which is very rhetoric and unjust.

College Events

0.5

Earlier we used to have Intra Faculty Moot Court Competitions, Debates, Lex Fest where we used to have several competition. But now the authorities have stopped doing any such events. To them these are just waste of time and nothing else. They should understand the need of these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Rs. 34500 per year for B. A. LL. B course. University also gives scholarship to the needy students. Rs. 10000 were the hostel fee for single seater room. The fees has to be paid via Demand Draft. The fee structure is very transparent. The hostel fee is separate.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied for any scholarships. But university provides scholarship to the needy students plus the fee for reserved quota students used to be less.

Campus Life

The gender ratio used to be 50-50. We used to have a library, a computer lab, etc. The classes now have AC rooms. The students are mostly from UP only. The atmosphere of University is deteriorating daily to a newer level. The student elections and students leaders have ruined the atmosphere of the university.

Hostel Facilities

I opted for a hostel. The hostel fee charged was Rs. 10000-12000 per year, excluding mess charges. For law course two hostels were allocated for boys i. e. Dr. Radhakrishnan Hostel and Shatabdi hostel. Mess charges used to be ?3500 per month. I used to live in Dr. RK hostel in single room. It was good because it was newly built. But now the condition has deteriorated.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were always very helpful and caring. The still are good to us. Though we don't have any alumni group, but we keep in touch with our seniors through FB.

Admission

6 June 2009. The admission procedure was quite simple. The college daily publishes the merit list in the newspapers after declaring the results. The student has to take his marksheet to college and fill up the form. I chose the college because of its prestige.

Faculty

3

The old faculty members were really good and intelligent, but the new faculty members are just not properly educated. So the quality of teachers have gone down the drain. They have hired ex students to teach the subjects. The teachers are not well aware.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have interest in psychology that's why I adapt this course. got to know so many things about psychology and which help me to know people better really help me in my day today life. But the professor need to explain more and do not give illusionary examples. Did they have to try to explain in real world scenario. The courses is difficult and the paper is so lengthy give three hours to write and the people is so many that the time is insufficient they need to give more time if they expect to fill 24 pages of answer sheet.

For campus placements, 6th semester students are eligible. There are various companies which visit our campus for the campus recruitment process some of them are IDFC First Bank, Adda 24x7, Piramal Finance, etc. The highest package offered was 5 lacs and the average package as per company was 350000. 40-50 percentage of the students are getting placements in the college every year. After the BBA Degree, I am planning for the Masters Degree for better placement. |

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum at Amity University is a well rounded blend of theortical principles and practical relevance that shaped my future career. There are modules like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistics that provide a strong formation for any future career opportunities in economics or finance. Additionally the presence of specialise subject like health economics, developmental economics, international trade, public policy and behavioural economics very highly appealing and something you would not find in other universities or/and government university. The inclusion of such modules got my attention because it promised to go beyond traditional economic subjects and focusing on the practical subjects that are also industry specific level of domain of economics. They were also research projects, data analysis classes, case studies throughout the three year course which allows students to apply and test their knoweldge that further enhance the value of the degree. There were also subjects like environmental sciences, psychology, communicative English which was made mandatory for students that help them shape their personality and adapt more to a corporate setting. The examination system is designed to assess the viability of skills and critically but the difficulty of exam especially towards the end of semester can create unnecessary pressure for students. There will be time that there will be last minute syllabus changes or additional chapters to be considered and there is no structured format of what you can expect in the written exam however there is a fair grading system though some students feel that instead of the exams there can be more emphasis on analytical side rather than modules that require rote learning.

Overall curriculum was good that they make proper schedules of classes and all but there was something lacking is that sometimes the professor was absent and we wasn't aware about that and sitting in that class without knowing they should inform us or make a proper arrangement for replacing of class with other teacher and also there was lacking of technology in studies I didn't remember how many times they used the projector for proper teaching.
