Remarks

I had a good experience studying in this college. This college provides good academics with good faculties has good labs and equipments. Good hospital with average patients exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is standard like any other medical College where in First year there is Pre clinical subjects with theory and practical classes from 2nd year they started us clinical subjects and we go to hospitals and see patients where we gained clinical knowledge. In our CRRI period we see the patients and we are in first line. We also gone to industrial visits in Community medicine postings.

Placement Experience

3

In my internship period. We used to have chance to work in all 19 departments through which we gained an overall view about Medicine. I did my internship during CORONA period so the exposure to patients is however low.

College Events

3.5

We celebrate 1. Pongal festival 2. Affinity- an inter college medical cultural event 3. Sangamam- an inter college BDS cultural event And also number of Continuous Medical Education in which many post graduates from other colleges come and join. Fare well day. and many other functions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We pay for 5 years 1time per year Around 5lakhs per academic year including hostel and mess. We also pay extra for other activities like Continuous Medical Education (CME) Classes. Other classes like BCLS, ACLS and others which is necessary for the completion for our course.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes I availed Scholarship. That should be applied at the time of applying application for the counselling with appropriate particulars then we should proceed that during counselling and after joining college.

Campus Life

3.5

There was 50:50 ratio only in our college. Our college located in a remote area in Chennai-Trichy highway. the college has a very good environment with agriculture area around the college. there is no water problem in this area. Our college gives opportunities to students to do projects and also to publish them with the help of our faculties.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I am staying in hostel which is inside the college campus. we have mess in our hostel itself. e persons per room. the room have attached bathroom and with good water supply. Usually we won't experience electrical problems. We also have good ventilation in all rooms in our hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Usually during our course all seniors and juniors used to be close and share things regarding the academics and also work together in many situations.

Admission

I got admission in this college on the basis of my 12th mark. they had a 4rounds of counselling. where in my first counselling I selected Dhanalakshmi Srinivasa medical College, Perambalur. they demand higher amount of fees structure compared to Karpaga vinayaga college. In my 4th counselling I selected KIMS and I joined here.

Faculty

4

I would have met around 100 faculties in my journey of my MBBS with age group from 25 to 75years. many of the faculties are very experienced. Each department has 5 to 25 faculties and also assistants, technicians. We also gone through number of Continuous Medical Education classes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.

Placement Experience:

The students in their internship will get around 35000 per month excluding their mess fees, they have the option to opt out of the mess. And once they finish their internship they had to do two years bond in places where the colleges allot them and the salary for those two years will be decided by the place the person goes and itll be definitely more than what they get during internship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college strictly follows NMC rules and which is a very good thing as it helps us prepare for both theory and practical as theory give u the vast knowledge and practical allows us to imply what we learnt and also after the new rules of introducing histology we can also apply the idea of more creativity in a field a lot of creativity is yet to be unfolded they also cover important aspects through regular workshops and educate us with guest lectures from other colleges the important improvement which should be done is having the patience to teach a. Crowd of 250 which teachers should undergo special 2-3 classes to make sure they know what they teach is being reached out to everyone the timing of exam and everything is on time theh give us enough time to prepare and get ready
