Remarks
In past many good companies used to visit Chandigarh but avoid to visit Hamirpur due to road conditions so students were looking for some arrangements which TPO can do to take them to Chandigarh for placements but no corrective action was taken on that front. Things are improvement significantly in last 5 yrs
Course Curriculum Overview
National Institute of Technologies are deemed universities having semester based evaluation and each semesters curriculum is defined covering all necessary Engineering stream subjects, followed by 2.5 hrs of lab practicals. In additional to mandatory subjects options subjects like AI,C,C++ etc are also included, to make students industry ready
Placement Experience
College has a designated department run under TPO technical placement officer, having list of agencies or govt dept where students can apply. In addition students can also apply for other companies or sectors on personal front. Internship or vocational training is of 2 months in third semester. Campus placement start from 5-6th semester. Selection process is written test screening followed by a personal interview

Cultural festival - Hill fair Technical festival - Genesis Daily or weekly events like Group discussion, Clubs, Art of living courses and literacy missions for slum children etc Spiritual events Ganesha Chaturthi, Sarswati Pooja etc In addition specific hostel events
Fee Structure And Facilities
Its a Government Institute and fee was feasible not expensive. Course is semester based hence admission along with fee is deposited half yearly basis. College used to provide a detailed breakup of various fee components which include hostel charges, library charges etc
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't opted for any scholarship hence not aware about the process of granting the same. There must be change in same now
Campus Life
Gender ratio 1:15. Campus was quite good, having canteen, juice bar etc. Library was quite good along with a nice open air theater and convocation halls. Hostel Facilities
Hostel were quite good. There were rooms on three sharing, double sharing and singlets as well. Usually first year students were assigned triple sharing rooms with enough space and amenities like Bed, cup-boards, study table.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is quite good where students post open positions available in organizations they are currently employed
Admission
AIEEE which is not JEE Main is the criteria of admission. Based upon candidates performance in exam national level ranks are assigned based upon which first candidates first enter their choices and then counselling happens which assign colleges to individuals.
