Remarks

Overall college was very good place to study and finish our graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is good, We followed CBCS in which we were taught all the various topics including Maths, Physics, Statistics including the chemistry subject we opted. We were also required to attend Labs daily. We were offered various generic elective courses which helped us to improve our skills. Our college also offered various kinds of society to cultivate our extra-curricular skills

Placement Experience

2

Placements in our college for science students were average. Since not many students in the placement cell were from science background, there were very few core company offering jobs. I received my first job from College placements. If we talk about our batch, only 5-6 student got placed in our batch. In our course, people tend to do their Masters before applying for job. No, Our college did not take special steps to prepare the students for the placement season

College Events

5

There were various workshops organised in our college, We used have various fests organised by various departments of our college. We also have annual fest organised by our college called NEXUS which is very big and all the students from the Delhi university attends our annual fest every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our fees is very minimal and cheap. It cost us hardly Rs 10,000 per year and that too you have apply for various scholarships. Our fees were paid annually. The fee-breakdown was very transparent and we knew about everything for which we were paying.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't avail any scholarship or education loan. Since the fees of our college was very cheap, I was able to manage my college fees on my own.

Campus Life

4

Since our college is one of the best college in the Delhi university, we have numerous society such as debate, drama, singing, marketing, placement etc societies in which fresher can register and if selected can be a member of these societies. College ambiance was very good. Canteen was our usual goto place. We have Computer labs, state of the art library, ground etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, hostel vacancy is very less in our college so from every course 2 students (1 boy and 1 girls) having the highest marks out of applied students gets hostel facility. The hostel strength in our college is about 100 student only.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a alumni network on the paper. But it is only on the paper, not at all helpful. It's been 2 years since I passed out of the college, still we haven't been to any alumni meets or other event. Moreover, seniors are very helpful and friendly.

Admission

I got 94.5% in my class 12 board due to which I was able to get admission in this prestigious college. Admission process is through class 12 marks. Cut-off marks for all subjects is very high for General students. We had to fill a online form in DU website at the time of admission. Then about a start of June, DU released Cut-off for all the college and for my course, 94.5 was the cut-off.

Faculty

4.5

Our college has numerous excellent faculties. Our principal is very learned and has a PhD in Biochemistry. All our faculties in the chemistry department had completed their PhD. We had 6 semesters in total out of each in each semester we have 6-8 courses/subjects and had theory classes or lab from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm daily.

Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
