Remarks

My overall experience with YCCE is really awesome for all the aspects mentioned above the YCCE can be seen as the best private autonomous college in central India.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE exam in the year 2012 and scored 130 marks. The All India rank secured by me was under 50000 and the state rank was under 10000.It was not really difficult for me to get into a NIT but I chose YCCE for its status and reputation for providing quality education and good placements. YCCE is one of the topmost colleges in the city as well as state. You can get into YCCE by scoring good marks in JEE Mains in the past year YCCE has the record of over 90% placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is well designed by the experts. The course duration is of 4 years consisting of 8 semesters. 1st year (i.e. 1st and 2nd sem) is common for all the branches . From second year onwards students move into their respective departments. Frpm 5th sem onwards there are optional subjects called as electives. There are professional electives (within the branch) and free electives (inter branch). The electives are alloted according to the CGPA.

Internships Opportunities

The college does not provide many opportunities in this perticular area the college encourages students to try at their personal level for the inernships in the very few opportunities provided by college, stipend offered is pretty descent.

Placement Experience

5

The placement rate is quite impressive. In the currents year over 90% students got placed in many multinational IT sector companies as well as in core companies. Many of the eligible students got 2 placements over 30 companies have visted the YCCE campus this year. The average package offered is around 4 lacs per annum the highest package offered was over 21 lacs for 3 years.

College Events

4

There are several technical cultural and management events occuring regularly at YCCE. The annual festival of YCCE called YASH is celebrated in the even semester every year in the month of January or February. This is the biggest college fest in the city having budget over 20 lacs. The duration is around 14 days and over 25000 students attend the festival. Also there are several departmental events like ELECTRICA or ICON .

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for the current year or session 2015-16 is 1,18,450 INR which is somewhat at the expensive side. But looking at the facilities provided at YCCE and the placement opportunities at YCCE the fees looks feasible at some point the exam fees per semester is 2500 INR. The tution fee is around 1 lac and there are other fees constituting to the fees mentioned above.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the scholarships offered by central or state government are there in YCCE there is a provision of unofficial scholarship for economically backward students.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life at YCCE is quite happening. Being a student one can definitely enjoy 4 years at YCCE to its fullest. In every month either a technical or a nontechnical event is oragnised at YCCE many students take part in it the number of girl students is increasing year by year the girls and boys compete neck and neck in all extracurricular activities and make them as successful as they are.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is hostel facility for both boys and girls the boys hostel is situated at the college campus only the facilities provides are quite good the accomodation facility is spacious . 3 boys need to share a room the hostel mess is also good the annual fees of the hostel is around 40000 INR.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni of YCCE are at various national and international locations working successfully for the different multinational companies also there are alumni who work in the sector not only of education but also of research and development the alumni network of YCCE is really benifitting current students as well as other alumni.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is similar to other autonomous institutions. There are two MID SEM EXAMS carrying 15 marks each and 1 END SEM EXAM carrying 60 marks. 10 marks are alloted for the Teachers assesment. Thus the total marks become 100 per subject one need to score 40 marks in each subject for passing the practicals carry 100 marks individually and one need to score 50 for passing. Then the grades are alloted relatively and SGPA is calculated accordingly.

Faculty

4

The faculty members of all the departments are experts in the field of teaching. There are lecturers whose experience exceeds 25 years in the field of teaching. The faculty members are not only good in teaching but also are very much knowledgeable and supportive about the international , national and state level paper presentation and project competitions.

7th semester or 4th year makes you eligible for internships and placements. NVIDIA visits our college often i don't know much about the placements as im only in first year but yes the eligibility for the placement is over CGPA which eliminates a lot of students during the placements nearly ~75% of the students get placed (including off and in campus) the other 20% pursue higher studies the other 5% go for start ups

Campus placement has good rate. Most of the students passing out get in-campus placements and some of them go abroad for higher education. The average package here is around 700000 to 800000. Very much reliable in placement perspective.
