Remarks

Overalls college has a nice environment for professional and personal growth. The location of college is also serene.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course was 4 years 8 semesters course. Teachers were good enough. Placements % was good but mostly in IT companies for all the branches. So it was good for IT /CS branches but not so good for circuit and core branches. Industry specific knowledge was not sufficient.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements were good but mostly in IT companies but not in circuit branches or core branches. Institute organizes seminars for preparing students for the placements.

College Events

4.5

Technical and cultural fests are organized annually. Technical fest is called techAkriti and cultural fest is called amalgam. Intracollege and intercollege festivals are organised. People come in huge numbers from around pune to participate in the fest and make environment competitive.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not too much considering the cost of living in pune area. The fee is revised annually considering the increase or decrease in the cost of living of pune. It generally increases. At my time it was around 1 Lakhs 10 thousand per year for complete thing like messing, tuition, lodging.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opt for amy loan or scholarship in my time. Bit AWES scholarships are there if you are in top few students in the class.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is good in circuit and cs/it branches but in mechanical it is low. Students are catered to irrespective of gender. Many cocurricular and extracurricular activities are there periodically and on special occasions. The events are debate, painting, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is pretty great and alumni help the students in every way possible like recommendations for students and college in their companies, conducting seminars, etc.

Admission

The college is only for defence personnel. Shortlisting is based on JEE main rank. Earlier was based on AIEEE. People give JEE mains and afterwards fill the form for Army Institute of Technology pune and send it through post. If you are shortlisted you will be called for counselling and thereafter you will know if you are selected or not.

Faculty

3.5

Good enough for imparting knowledge. But deep understanding lacked in them as very few of them were PHD. Some of them were doing PHD along with teaching. But mostly students had to learn by them for gaining knowledge. Lectures were just to impart theory in mind not generally industry specific.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
