Remarks

No Bad remarks offered about my College which was already explained.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In the First two years there are total 9 papers of 100 marks each, out of which four papers are Honours group and five papers are compulsory group. and in the third year five papers of 100 marks each are Honours Group i.e, total 9 papers in Honours group for three years study. All the papers are relevant and fair that making me a better professional. Now I am professionally qualified in Finance, Accounts and Costing.

Placement Experience

0.5

There are no placement system in the college on that time. Frankly speaking I was not thought about placement on that time.

College Events

5

Various Cultural Programme like singing, dancing etc, Inter College Sports programme, Indore Games competition, Various festivals like Holy Utsav, Durga Puja Utsav, New years Eve, Election Utsav, Students Politics etc. are the prime entertainment of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very nominal, Only Rs.12/- (Rupees Twelve Only) per month and it was fixed for entire three years study period. There were also Student free Concession or fully waiver system for those who are unable pay their fees. Principal was the Competent Authority for approval of Concessional fees or waiver of fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

That time Bank loan facility was there. Simultaneously Scholarship system was also there. If any student wants to avail the facility they directly contact to the principal.

Campus Life

5

It is 137 years Old educational Institutions. I had already mentioned that that time no Campus system was there on that time. All students are worked very hard and their moto was to established their life in future. Some of the students are coming for award degree and prepared himself for Competitive exam for Govt. Job and some for higher study.

Hostel Facilities

5

No, I had not opted any Hostel facility during my three years study period. There was a Hostel in the separate building. Many of the student were coming from village and the hostel room rent was also very low.

Alumni/Alumna

In our time there were no digital networking system. Phone and Internet was also not easily available and that too costly with low bandwith. Alumni network through advertisement published in the Newspaper and by postal communication only.

Admission

To became an Accounting Professional, I had choose three years Honours Degree in Accountancy Course. I had choose this College because it is a very old and renowned historical college. In January 1884 with permission from Lord Ripon, it was renamed as Ripon College and became a full-fledged degree College under the University of Calcutta. Most distinguished scholars had pass out from this college. I am proudly said that I am a lucky student who studied this college where eminent freedom fighter Sir Surendra Nath Banerjee himself taught in the College for many years with rare distinction. Sir Banerjee who "Surrender Not" before British Govt. in his life time. Admission Procedure in the year 1987 ( 33 years back) was very simple, they are admitted student based on the merit and I never face any problem for admission and that time the college fees was only Rs.12/- per month and I had no money for paying the fees of the college and the then Principal allowed me for Free Study in the College. I thankful to the College and Salute Surendra Nath College. Today what I am only because of this college.

Faculty

5

That time in the year 1987-1990 there are many eminent Scholars/writers taught the college. I had no private tutor i.e. there were no need at all because all the professors are taught us like their child. They had no motive for making money. I had gathered knowledge and experience from them which later makes me Professional in my field. Presently I am Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, Award Master degree in Business Administration specialisation in Finance, Professional Specialised Certification in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examiner and successfully working in Central Public Sector Enterprises.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First thing that influenced me to choose this course would be the well qualified professors, their teaching methodology and their experience, it was a great experience being taught by them. The next thing would be the fees structure, the college provides the same courses available at other colleges but at a very affordable fees. The one thing I'd like the college to work on is the regularity of the professors for the classes.
