Remarks

I have enjoyed my four years of engineering out there. It was one of the most important phase of my life and thanks to god i was in a safe hand.If you want fun and study in parallels then SJCE is the best option for you.

Entrance Preview

5289 rank Qualified through COMEDK SJCE is one of the most reputed engineering college of Karnataka PCM entrance test

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was good more of practical stuff. Every course had its own importance and was taught nicely by the faculty member of the college. We learned latest technologies related to our domain.

Internships Opportunities

I was selected for Philips innovation Campus intern-ship program in my seventh semester and got chance to learn a lot of things there. I was given a stipend of 15000. I completed my six month intern-ship in Philips.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is excellent because our college is one of the best college of the state with a very old history and best campus in Karnataka. We had almost 100 percent placement in our branch and average package was excellent.

College Events

4.5

We used to have the following college events: Cyberia: Technical feast of our college which consisted of mock placements and quizzes related to various language so that student can get knowledge outside the books. Jayciana: One of the most celebrated and successful college feast of Karnataka. it consisted of various cultural, sports and art programs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was expensive for non Kannada student because we were not from Karnataka. We use to give a huge amount of money for our annual fee which is the part I didn't liked. our college fees was four times Kannada student which was a partiality I guess because education is our basic need and we should have opportunity to read anywhere in the country. For Karnataka student the fees was nominal and feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there is scholarship programs for the one who are best in their studies but sadly I didn't availed any of the scholarship facility. Our college also have scholarship opportunities to minorities and to the poor student so it was a cheap place to complete your graduation

Campus Life

4.5

Our campus was excellent and it was spread in an area of 117 acres of land which is huge. Campus was beautiful and full of greenery. Our college used to play each and every sports and we used to have college team in basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho, football, cricket etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

I was not a part of hostel from the beginning so I don't have idea about it but my friends use to say that food was not good. Other facilities were excellent.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very responsive and effective they organise various programs for our juniors and current student and invite us to be part of it so the network is quite strong and well managed by the college administration.

Exam Structure

Since our college was autonomous under VTU so we had our own way of analyzing each student. we used to have three compulsory internals along with one mini project and quiz for 50 marks and the other 50 marks was from the semester end examination totalled to be 100.

Faculty

4

Faculty was good and were very cooperative. They supported us on and off the academics. Faculties were more of friends to us. Some of the faculty were excellent in their technical skills while some of them were good.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
