Remarks
I had interest in economics and so getting admitted to a college specialized in humanities courses was almost a blessing for me. The college follows the study pattern of JNU so this was also one of the reason for choosing this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum of economics department is very good in this college and according to me it is better than Delhi University course curriculum for economics. The college follows different type of examination pattern. Unlike Delhi University it has, for every semester, internals then mid term and at last end semester exams and majority of the time they were of equal weightage. It has very good faculty team with very indepth conceptual knowledge about their courses. There are few faculties who have inspired me and have a very strong impact on me are Mr. Partha, Mr. Krishna, Mrs Parma, Mr. Ishaan, etc.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are always there for students in the campus. Sometimes these comes for specific courses which i think is very good as it will enhance their efficiency. SBI is the recent recruiter came in the campus providing stipends upto 12000 per month. There are other big intern recruiters as well so the campus is very green when it comes to internship.
Placement Experience
The placement cell of the college is very active and whenever there comes any company for recruitment, it informs to everyone through mail and the interested students then come forward for the further process.
College Events
Campus life is very good here. There are several events that take place here time to time. Those events comprises of social, cultural, historical, events related to the rich heritage that India has, Social messages are also spread here through different programs and events organised by the very good societies of the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provide financial support to the reserved groups and they have 100% fee waiver on tution fee. Along with this they also provide waiver to the low income group's which helps a lot of the students with low financial support or background. Scholarships are also given to those students every semester who have performed very good in all their subjects.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is good and the classes are well organised and the thing i acknowledge alot about my college campus is the way they have used the campus space, that's very impressive. This college doesn't have new building but the infrastructure looks very solid. I would specially like to talk about the library that it has, they have given very good amount of space to the library which can be seen whenever one visits there.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel here is only for girls. Boys hostel is still not available so don't have much to say on this but I have female friends who have availed hostel and i never heard any issue that they faced their and they are happy with the accommodation they got in the hostel
