Remarks

CET is one of the top colleges in the country. Faculties are the best. The college has the best placement records too. The location of the college is good too. Various fests are conducted to boost the cultural and technical skills of the students. I opted this course because I liked the course and our college contain the best faculties too. And the lab has good facilities where you can learn a lot.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Syllabus contained up to date contains. Covered all the basics and we had optional subjects in the last semesters. It was mandatory for us to have industrial visits and internships will be beneficial, if you take it, during the campus placement although it is not mandatory. Jisha ma'am is one of the best faculties which we had. Currently the course curriculum is different but the faculties will help you alot.

Placement Experience

4.5

We have a very good placement cell. At our time, Adobe, amazon, BOSCH, Royal Enfield, ABB, BPCL, etc came. Do not how many students got placed but a good number of students got the jobs. Students will be asked to take a test then the ones who pass the test will be qualified for the next round that is interview. There will be technical and HR interview. The whole process will take a day.

College Events

4.5

Drishti is our technical fest and Disha is our cultural fest. Both these are big enough that almost all the engineering colleges, particularly in Kerala, knows about it. During our time, we had a concert of Mohit Chauhan for Disha. In spite of Drishti, we had departmental technical and cultural events too. Ours is Tesla(technical fest) and Power Night(cultural fest).

Fees and Financial Aid

For the reservation category college fee and hostel fee will be covered by the government. CBSE scholarship of 10000 per year will be awarded to students with good academic excellence. Several procedures are there to receive it. It will explained by the college authorities.

Campus Life

4

We have a very big ground. There were gym, basketball court, all sports-related items are there if you want to practice. We had department wifi but the students were not allowed to access it. The library has a very good collection. It has a separate section for reserved community students. The lab contains both recent and pretty old equipment.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostels have enough facilities. The rooms were sharing. 3-4 people per room. It has enough space. We had a small computer lab there. Wifi is available. Food is also available. Have a small ground for evening recreations. We have TV too. Overall college hostel is pretty good choice. We have lot PGs outside. Do not know about the quality of food. The rental were 5000 per month on an average at our time. Don't know whether it has changed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
