Remarks

Jagannath Barooah College is the best college in the entire Jorhat and also Assam. It is proud that we are reading in Assams 2nd College. J. B. rewarded by NAAC A grade for its performance. So that I got admission in J. B. College and become a jbian.

Course Curriculum Overview

The teaching faculties of our college is the best faculty. Our colleges teaching quality is praised in all Assam. Our professors are a good educator and they teach us very well. Other faculties at our college are also good. Other hand course syllabus is very pretty. It is much knowledgable.

J. B. College organises a job fair annually. Every year many students hired by many famous companies and they get huge salary package. If you asked me one of the companies names I can say TCS where JBians has excellent performance rate.

College Events

Last year our college started an annual fest named Anirvana. It is a very famous fest entire Jorhat. There are many cultural, sports and literature competition held among the students and the last two days of the fest famous artists comes to perform cultural nights. All students can enjoy the fest very well.

Our college infrastructure is not so good. There are five buildings in our college. Among them, two were old building. Our KRISHNA KANTA HANDIQUE library is a three story building and digital. The indoor stadium is old and not good. Other hand digital labs are provided for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course is very rich and varied for someone from commerce background . There are a lot of subjects for students which students study in various semesters . There's even EVS in the curriculum which is wierd but also great . I feel the curriculum is a lot based on the real life there are topics related to computerised accounting, e businesses , virtual reality , augmented reality , stock markets etc etc . which are ig very necessary for today's world . Since I am just in my 1st semester I don't think I can say a lot about the improvements that can be made but I feel the curriculum can also include a little about AI as it's the burning topic of today's world . If there's a subject like EVS for commerce then I feel even an AI subject will not pose much difficulty or chaos among the students . Exams are very regular . I just had my sessional exams in October and now I am preparing for my finals which are in December

Just lecture, ppt presentation maths (math is mean what the.), give notes from internet. Science department is good. But for others just see another college otherwise you'll regret. Drastic improvement is need. I don't like it at all. I'll say it is mid. It is ok as i said before.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed Physics department as I liked physics more than other subjects in Higher Secondary. Also in this college, Physics department is one of the finest departments with proper equipments available that are required for practical educations. A Dream - JAGANNATH BAROOAH UNIVERSITY.

Yes, I actually applied in Tezpur university in Bachelor's in English as it's one of my biggest dream to study in it. But my application got rejected , actually not rejected, when we had completed our 12th , there are as lot's of competition among students and the Mark's they obtain was much. So in Tezpur university the cutoff mark was approximately 93. As a result of which I've unable to get the admission. In our university, the admission process is simple. Firstly the student who wish to apply, must have to visit Samarth education portal, there they have to given the required details with their documents.
