Course Curriculum Overview

3

Actually I started liking the subject Economics from my 12th and to be very honest, our university is the most famous one in Jorhat thatsway every single student had once dreamt of studying in it and I do have that. So I fulfilled my dream. About the course it's good. The curriculum help us to know about real world experiments like before choosing this course I don't have idea about what's happening and what actually happens to our economy, certain terms like GDP, National income etc I've not heard before. After choosing this course I've learnt that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually I belong to economically weeker section as our annual income is below 2 lakh per annum. So I've to pay only rupees 900 at the time of admission for year wise admission I've to pay rupees 900 and 650 respectively in the second and 3 rd year. Overall for all the other students it's bare minimum approximately they paid 4500 per year.

Campus Life

5

To be very honest I only went to college to study. I'm not a person who spent lot's of time in campus. We'll I know a few things. So,the campus is well managed. One can enjoy the beautiful serenity our there. There was annual sports in the month February involving indoor and outdoor games for the students to showcase their inner talents. The library is good well not so. You can find books but not all those that you're searching for. There's all the facilities in classrooms that a student want. There's digital boards including white screen if someone wants to take digital class.. About sports, the ground is pretty big so students often engaged in various sports out there both in indoor and outdoor. There's an indoor room too. Yes there's Student's union too where students from various departments take past in the election and after won, they did all those tasks that they have promised to do.

Admission

Yes, I actually applied in Tezpur university in Bachelor's in English as it's one of my biggest dream to study in it. But my application got rejected , actually not rejected, when we had completed our 12th , there are as lot's of competition among students and the Mark's they obtain was much. So in Tezpur university the cutoff mark was approximately 93. As a result of which I've unable to get the admission. In our university, the admission process is simple. Firstly the student who wish to apply, must have to visit Samarth education portal, there they have to given the required details with their documents. After they've selected, our respected team will call them regarding admission. In certain field's of Science like Maths and all the students have to sit in an entrance exam in order to get admission.

Faculty

As I mentioned above the guidence we got through the course is commendable. We don't have to suffer at any cost. The teachers are friendly enough. They provide sufficient notes, they taught the topics in a way so that it's understandable for all. The exams are not so easy. We've to study hard to secure good Mark's, yes some of our classmates had backlogs initially but they were able to clear that.

Night Life

3

Well as I belong to Jorhat too so I was not staying in hostel. But yes from my friends I've got to know certain thing's. There are two hostel's for girls and one for boys. The hostel's are quite old. Actually there's rule in hostel like one can't go out after 6 in the evening. After college the hostelers used to hang out in tea stalls. In our campus there's a cafe too. The locality is safe .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because I have very much interest in this course. I wanted to be a lecturer in this field. The faculty members are very friendly to the students. Their teaching method is quite impressive. They get so friendly with the students as there are one of them. There are mainly 2 classrooms for the undergraduates and 3 for the post graduates. There are 78 students in UG and 131 in PG. There are altogether 13 faculty members. The members were highly qualified. Some of them have done PhD in this field and some of them are still continuing their PhD. The exams didn't load much for the students as it was held in a fixed period of time. And as the teachers are aware of the exams time table, they completed their syllabus before the exam dates. Also the teachers notes and teaching are so good that the students didn't get any difficulties for the exams. Since the exam were held in a fixed time but the declaration of results is too late. The authority must look for it.
