Remarks
The main reason it being an institute of national importance, the infrastructure and the exposure one gets is massive and the people you meet there would have an attitude of achieving something special in life, by sticking together with such of people the motivation required for achieving your goal would be high and the stakes of you actually gets through all the odds and finally getting what you want would be high, rather than just dreaming and doing nothing, the professors, the labs and the equipments in them are high class, by studying in such environment, the interest to work in that field would definitely developed, and not to mention the fests and the activities that take place within the college are managed by the students themselves which gives them hands-on experience on solving real life situations by interacting with people or by making their own way out
Course Curriculum Overview
The cirriculum is good and the syllabus to say is not updated that regularly, may be updated once is few years, but some professors are so passionate that they bring to class the tiniest update in their respective field, which makes the students more enthusiastic, the eminities like labs and sports ground are excellent, the hostels are also good
Internships Opportunities
For metallurgy, there is only one company reliance which comes for internship every year for sure and there are a few more 1-2 which come and their visiting the campus isn't definite
College Events
The campus has a technical fest(AXIS), cultural fest(Aarohi) and an annual e-summit(Consortium) these are organised by students and are of good level, AXIS has a participation of around 20000 and Aarohi and Consortium having a participation of around 10000-15000.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is Maharastra state scholorship for all the Maharastra students( with a constraint of caste and income imposed), there is a fee remission program which can be availed by the student by submitting their families income certificate and a particular percentage of tution fee would be refunded, and not to mention there is a scholorship awarded based on caste and there are scholorships from alumni and there are departmental scholorships too
Campus Life
The sports ground is well equipped with a basket ball court, cricket and football grounds, volley ball grounds, indoor stadium, there is lan facility in hostels(boys), the girls hostels(new) are yet to have an internet connection, the labs are well equipped with having the ones necessary for the cirriculum and some advanced equipments
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good with all the basic emminities, all the students who avail for the hostel facility would be given, new hostels have been built recently and are in use for the past 2 years, for the coming batches the fee might rise to a maximum amount of 40000, there is canteen inside the hostel and a night canteen(the favourite spot for boys near the hostel area which we call 'Chandrama')
