Remarks
Everything seems to be good, but the only thing that pulls the college down is the fact that it lacks in infrastructure, which i am sure will be taken care of pretty soon as it was under talks when i left the college.also it is an undeniable fact that me being a non-muslim had a difficult time adjusting to the 85% muslim crowd of the college. (but that again is a personal perception and may vary from person to person)apart from that the knowledge that the professors share is unparalleled all in all it is worth spending the 4 years of a students engineering life in Rizvi.
Entrance Preview
There are two ways to get admission into this college (excluding the donation seats ofcourse), AIEEE and MHT-CET. I scored 113 in CET and 97 in AIEEE and applied through both was selected in the first cap round itself with my AIEEE scores. The reason for opting for this college is that i opted for this college on no.7 in the cap list and since i got the college, i had no option than to take it.
Course Curriculum Overview
Frankly speaking, the course curriculum was way better than what i expected it to be. it teaches one how to be self dependent and face challenges efficiently. but the overall experience was way better than most engineering colleges in mumbai as i hear from my friends from varied colleges. Also the fact cannot be denied that the attendance criteria is highly flexible and can easily be worked around.
Internships Opportunities
Although there is no internship program offered by the college but the placement of the college is pretty steep. I was placed in Tech Mahindra through campus placements along with a lot of my friends where the major companies include iGate, Infosys, Reliance Infocom and many more.
College Events
Every year the college celebrates a tech fest held of its own named RAYS. Apart from that, the college also is a part of ICGTE and holds a conference cum learning program for its students where paper presenters, both national and international, come together to discuss their research works and inventions in their respective fields of expertise.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is highly feasible as the college is aided by Rizvi Group of Builders.the fees usually fluctuates on Mumbai University norms, but ranges somewhere around 65-70k per year. The college does not have a hostel facility, so accommodation has to managed by the student itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
Since the college is mainly focused on muslim minority students, there are a lot of minority scholarships given away by the government (both muslim and non-muslim) which the college makes it highly easy to avail.
Hostel Facilities
The college does not have a hostel facility, so accommodation has to managed by the student itself. Although there are options nearby, but considering the fact that the college is placed in of the most prime locations in mumbai, the prices really go way high. So one might consider an accommodation in andheri to borivali regions.
Alumni/Alumna
The college network of alumni is also taken care of by a dedicated department, which makes sure that there are plenty of job opportunities for the pass outs even if they wish to switch from their existing jobs.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is pretty much standard for all engineering colleges. This comprises of 8 semesters over a period of 4 years each semester comprising of 4 major categories of exams-1. Mid-Term exams (scaled down to 10 marks in the Term work scores which also includes marks for attendance and journal submissions), Practical exams, Vivas, Theory exams
Faculty
Faculty of this college is highly trained and efficient in delivering their knowledge to the students. they build a really good rapport with the students and make learning and enjoyable experience for the students. And also a huge chunk of marks are in the hands of the professors, they are very kind to pass those off to the students very easily.
