Shri shikshayatan college is one of the good college among others in kolkata. The faculty of this college is very supporting and the faculty members helped the students whenever needed. Also the infrastructure and exposure to the other colleges through different programs and fest and several other activities plays a vital role.

The College follows the cbcs rule as prescribed by the Calcutta University. The cbcs pattern has truly smoothen out the learning process. Now we have 6 semesters instead of part 1,2 and 3. The faculty of the college is very supporting and helpful.

The college has a placement cell in collaboration with OMNIFIN having qualified placement officer to take care of placement needs of the students. Several companies like Pwc, Deloitte, etc. visit our college every year for recruiting candidates.

The College celebrates annual function every year where students who holds rank in the University exams are felicitated. The annual College fest Srijan is one of most celebrated and famous inter college fest organized by the students. Apart from this there are several clubs and groups where students actively take part.

The whole college is centrally air conditioned. There is a library, a common room where students can spend their free time, a auditorium, a yoga room where rehearsals for college fest or college annual functions take place. There is also a play ground and a swimming pool. Apart from these there are computer lab, a botany lab, a chemistry lab for respective departments.

The College does not provide any hostel facilities. But there are lots of pgs available for out station students. The College is close to rabindra sadon metro station. Bus and other transportation facilities are also available. Therefore there is no communication problem.
