Remarks

I chose Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran because of its placement opportunities, nice atmosphere, less options remaining for late admission and my elder brother was in another course in the same college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I don't find the curriculum updated. We were made to learn ten year old concepts but now our junior batches have a revised syllabus as I have heard if it. About faculties, it varies as Some faculties were very nice and helping while some were rude.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 344000 per year

Internships Opportunities

CTS, programmer analyst, 12000 stipend.

Placement Experience

A lot of companies come to college, it depends on the placement cell and the student's hard work and luck to grab best opportunity. Others go in masses. Only few lucky bright students get good offers.

College Events

They occurs lot of events in our college but it is beneficial to only those who are talented before coming to cgc because no one focus to teachers any newcomer. The opportunities are difficult to grab because of the crowd.

Campus Life

Campus is nice. White painted buildings. Every building is different in it's own way for every other course. Lush green parks, one auditorium and several eating points are great to have fun. You don't have to walk much from one building to another as in the universities so one gets less tired.

Hostel Facilities

It is easy to avail the hostel facility, issue happen now and then but they can be sorted by mutual understanding. We can't get home food in hostel so like every hostel u will complain many times but they provide snacks too and wardens are nice to take care of all students.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college works for the students and offers several placement on campus. From the 5th semester onwards summer internships are offered to many deserving students. Several companies visit thapar for recruitment. Some of them are, amazon, apple, microsoft, google, rubrik, jp morgan chase, bains and complany, suzuki, abd many more. Around 50-70 percent students get placed on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

College is very good and old but teaching methods is also old. All classes is manual but in respect of other technical college, classroom is not good . I suggest the college authority to expand extra activity to explore students.

Good college for exploring the life but no placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my case I do 3 year diploma in Electrical Engineering and after that presently I do b.tech in Rayat bahra university so I already learn basic thing related to subject so I think I syllabus and exams are not more difficult to me . And I choose this college because it has 5 days working.

Placement Experience:

As for the campus placements, in 7th semester one is eligible for placements. And for the stream of mechanical engineering the placements offering at the moment are just above the average. Highest package was of 3 crore to CSE student . And as of my course one of my classmate got placed in Autodesk with a package of 28 LPA

The placement record of Chitkara University is pretty decent. The environment is good and the faculty is also good (Mainly PhD) The campus is compact but with all facilities fullfilling needs of the student.

I had no other options.As one of the best colleges for engineering the cut off was High still it was tough to get in.I got in because Thapar has the best faculty for computer engineering.People have been pursuing this course for more than 50 years now.

Best Private college in North India

Admission:

First, I took their exam LPU-NEST and after that, I scored well in that and they called me up for discussing the process in my city and after that, they showed me pictures of hostel and classes and told about the mess. And then I gave my required documents to them and signed on some documents and paid the fees.

CGC could fulfill your dreams

Firstly, as a JEE Aspirant, I succeeded to clear JEE mains. However, I couldn't be able to find the desired college. Then, I come across CGC Landran through one of my friends as it takes students on the basis of the 12th class percentage. I secured 82.4% in my 12th board examination, so I fulfilled their admission criteria. I came across CGC Landran via their official website, i.e., www.cgc.edu.in. The best part of my college life was TPP (Training and Placement Programming) where we were guided with the latest programming languages, and communication skills as well as the reasoning for placements in top-notch companies. The good aspect of CGC Landran would be placements, co-curricular activities, and cooperative teachers. However, attendance came out to be the biggest disadvantage for us where teachers used to emphasise scaring students to attend the classroom for fulfilling the 75% mark.
