Remarks
I wanted to experience hostel life, that's the main criteria. Being a resident of Kolkata I couldn't get any hostel here. And the college has a good placement record and reputation. So I decided to go for it.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was pretty updated. I am in my final year now and i have knowledge about all the technology required to thrive in today's world. There were some room for improvement though. I wish we were more prepared for our work in future rather than just scoring marks.
Placement Experience
Many MNC visits our campus for development generally. Offers a regular 2-4 LPA package. Few startups come with higher package like 7-10 LPA. Our entrepreneur cell handles all the projects efficiently. AK Robotics is a start up of one of my friend. I have a startup too, MayFly Creative Solutions.
College Events
Campus life was amazing. From day 1 we had good interaction with our seniors and they threw us a warm fresher's party. Each department had a party. And each hostel had a party. Similarly we have thrown farewell too. We also had 2 fests, one cultural and one annual. Both are amazing. Many famous performers visited us. We have a cultural group too, Kasar, which is very famous in social sites.
Campus Life
Our college is humongous. We have 5 play grounds, 17 indoor game facility, 5 hostels for student, 1 for teachers, 8 different buildings, 2 independent workshops and a library consisting of 4 floors. Our department had 9 laboratories and there are 40+ laboratories in total.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I opted for hostel. The life there is so overwhelming. So many friends and all from different background. the rooms were big and each room had two beds, two study tables and chairs, two cupboard and one balcony. There was no Air cooling, and it was not required. We had sharing bathrooms which came up to like 1 bathroom for 6 people, and that was pretty manageable. We had geyser facility too and all time running water, both normal and purified. Each floor had a Purifier and there were 5 floors. the ground floor was our eating area and common room. we had to pay around 2500 for the room and 2000 for 3 times food.
