Entrance Preview

I took the 2012 AIEEE test. Scored pretty good marks.Got admission with D/OB quota. The admission process was good with all documents verification done on same day in well organized manner. Along with B.E. COE in NSIT ,I qualified for B.Tech IT from DTU and B.Tech CSE in GGSIPU (Dwarka college).

Internships Opportunities

Like I said , placement/internship is the main perk of NSIT. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart ,Microsoft ,Texas Instruments, Toshiba etc came along with tiny start-ups too. Unfortunately I could not do any internship(due to backlogs) but most of my friends give a positive feedback.

Placement Experience

5

Placement ,as I have mentioned time and again, reach a level of 100% completion with only a few severe cases going unplaced. The companies like Amazon , Microsoft , Flipkart , Paytm ,PayU , Adobe , Amadeus , Toshiba along with several start-ups came ( there were many more i cannot recall all their names). The packages ranged from 3.5 Lakhs to a whopping 35 Lakhs (August1-October15). Almost 50% of college is placed with placement season going till last day in college.

College Events

4

The annual intra-college fest , Resonanz , has a footfall of about 3000 students with many competitions and dj/sufi nights. The techno-managerial fest , Innovision , provides inter-college platform to competitions. This has an average footfall of 10-15000 students per day. The annual cultural fest , Moksha , is one the most highly rated fests of North India. The partipation is minimal 2-3 lakhs students over a course of 3-4 days with international stars like Edward Maya performing live.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are awarded to students who perform splendidly each year with top 20 students from each year awarded full reimbursement of their tuition fees. Also, reserved caste specific scholarship are awarded to students of respective castes for achieving great feats.

Campus Life

4

The sports facilities are admirable with well maintained cricket ground, football field , 2 lawn tennis courts and two basketball courts in sports side of campus. Badminton courts are also available in each of the hostels. The gender ratio is very less as anyone would expect in an engineering college with most people from North Indian Hindu community though there are many other religious and provinces' students.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni Network is good , not great as many-a-times they take advantage of their positions. And i stress on take not try to as mostly they are successful. The Seniors on the other hand are very helping(especially to girls). If you ever worry about anything regarding academics or personal life troubles , they are the best advice givers.

Many core companies come here as capital goods and defence sector is where our expertise and teaching takes us to. It's the majority of IT names that comes but I am or rather no one should look beyond their core branch otherwise there's no point is what I feel. Averages have suddenly gone up as currently as per the substrata of last 3-4 years it stands at 7.5 lakhs a year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the cse program as it is the need of the hour and is in great demand nowdays. In coming years ai and tech are the only things that will be superior. I think in my opinion the teaching style should be changed in some ways so as to make student engage and be interested in class.
